Someone said, Hostle is allotted based on rank.It means some of the students wont be getting it ? Is this true ? And what are the facilities available in hostles? Can someone from boys hostle can pls confirm about the internet connection availability (big deal for me).

MIB/MHROD guys!!! tell us about the various trips u have made.Please put forward any positive news about the D-skool or any future plans or even rumours u have heard?
By the way I saw some really good looking teachers(female ofcourse) there . Can some confirm they are regulars of the Deptt of Commerce? ;-)

hey... well frm wat i hav heard..n seen for sum years... 2 of d coolest things abt our stay here are... JP tea stall...there for generations...wen my father used to go there aswell...
n second..d canteen of D skul.... i luvvvvvd both the places... brot back memories of ma visits there wid my dad...
over to the seniors to throw more light....

yes , hostel allotment is merit based. when i went to delhi to complete the formalities i did make it a point to visit few hostels in the vicinity.

i went to one V.K.R.V. rao hostel (only for DSE and FMS). this was the only hostel who's form is out. although i did not make it into any of the rooms , i found the hostel very convenient

this hostel is right opposite university gate and there are a few other hostels in the same road. i did go to another hostel right beside this (dont remember the name though). the head of that hostel told me that the forms would be out after july 16th.

the procedure is , most of these hostels would get a merit list , and the allotment is based on this (provided , u buy the form from the respective hostels)

last year it cleared till 29 , the year before that , it cleared till 39.

Adding to the information Keane has just updated you guys about :-

I went to have a look at the hostels today...
All are in close vicinity to the college...First i went to Jubelii Hostel and found out that forms would be out during July 2nd week...not before that...
Then the itinerary (supposedly) was to head towards VKRV Rao Hostel..The faculty member (probably Hostel Dean) present there was very patient and eleborate while explaining/answering all my queries/questions...forms are out if you guys wanna buy, and last date for submission is 30th June...Didnt get a chance to have a look at the hostels though...
Then i had gone to Gwayer hostel..forms are not yet out..and will be available in July last week...
Then i had gone to PG Men's hostel where forms are not only unavailable as of now but also no idea when they would be!!!!:dontgeti:

I made payment for MHROD course today morning..Wasnt a very pleasant experience though, with loads of questions being asked about CGPA (Grading system which my college offered) and it's conversion certificate issued by the college..I dont know how students from non-DU Univ. chalk it out?? I was constantly nailed for Division certificate on basis of my CGPA (which was pretty good luckily) to produce which on the 1st place was never issued by my college authorities...They made me write an application to submit one as soon as i get it, otherwise....
All the important documents in original were given to faculty, but they were demanding only conversion/division certi.'s as if rest of them were a total waste!!!!
I still dont know what would i do!!!

Keane, you can help me out here...We are from same college..Can you throw some light regarding this!!!! read my PM...
Positives :-

Had good time at college canteen...Saw many seniors out there (outside canteen)...between 10:30 to 12:15 (mind you, it lasted quite long)...Didnt see neetu though....Also saw few MHROD guys (ofcourse they had those books in hands) walking around...

Regarding the WL, 15 guys have enrolled for MIB course so far..Sorry, didnt bother to ask for MHROD as i had already got myself enrolled...

Please help me with few queries :-
1) when can i get back my originals (now since i have got myself enrolled) if i want to??
2)What has the students done in past and currently for scenerios like CGPA conversion %age thing???
3) Can there be regular updates(through authentic sources) be made for hostels for both males/females so that nobody is left out???

Neetu and gang will be in a better position here to answer that question neha...
As far as boys hostel goes, atleast for VKRV Rao Hostel, it costs you rs.100...but still no generalisations for rest of the hostels!!!
