Dude congrats fr getting thru.It's gr88 that u chose MHROD over MIB ,but if you are doing it fr the sake of summers or winters or final placements and not for your passion or even interest in HR then, a peice of advice fr u Don't try to be a Guruji on PG.What's worth a penny or not is not decided by you or judged by a single year's summer or winter or final placements.Give MHROD more credit than that,as far as I can see it is going to be counted as top 5 post graduate HR programs in India soon ,may be in 2 to 3 yrs.What's worth a penny or not is not decided by a single soul giving shallow reasons to support his choice of course.Kindly refrain from these kind'a comments . As far as MIB is concern I see it reaching 2nd best IB program in India after IIFT(personal prediction) ,that would also be in no time.Reason - They don't need promotion ,like FMS never did .They are self growing courses which would be getting better and better known year after year surpassing many instis ahead of them and will be responsible for redefining the stature of Deptt of Commerce and Delhi school of Economics. Provided, they won't get into a rivalry between themselves.They have facilities,brandname,trust and recognition from all national and International universities and organisations.Hope you understand my point. There is a difference between defending your choice and demeaning others.In any case you gonna spend next 2 yrs together working for various functions and seminars and might be in placements .So atleast try to be sensible and a bit euphemistic(it was needed here and fr god's sake u are going in HR) in whatever you say.One more thing, people from both the courses don't need to be so desparate , these seats are not going to remain vacant and getting candidates 1 or 10 rank higher won't also make a difference.Have confidence in yourself and be high esteemed.U guys are not salesman ,u are strategists. Try using ur efforts in organising events of national level and getting more interaction with industry.Try being innovative for getting into media and mainstream MBA environment of the country.Do things which is different from others and make u look intelligent.If there is an Ivy league in India It's DU(JNU is PG only).You will call and everyone would be happily there for you.There can be red tapeism but then it will give u more satisfaction to overcome it.Try using government stamp to your favour.Call Lalu yadav to address you and u will be an instant hit.Use ur profs fr it ,if not Lalu u can try inviting medha patkar ,believe me even if the lecture wud be worthless or mighty boring ,u wud still be in national dailies. .Enough now, but I really wanted to tell my frens what I take these courses as and what I think can be done to make them a success.

mr moderator ... could u not delete this offensive post i personally feel that the rivalry between the courses should stay within the walks od delhi school of economics n both the courses should hav a united front for the rest.

appreciate your views.

but it was his first post on PG. deleting his post probably would not have sent the right message. it would have been too harsh on the bloke. it was for this reason that i did not bring the administrators into the picture. i did make it a point to let him know how to go about things here.

post is first post , he's on the watch-list. any more such posts from his side , we might be forced to do things a bit differently.

all said and done , its was unfortunate the way he put forth his post. well , nonsensical would be more apt. we cant even rule out the possibility of a fake profile. but yes , we'd be keeping a tab for sure

2 years down the line , you'd be getting a masters in international business.

International business is a good blend of marketing and finance. the degree (MIB) in itself is a super-specialization course (2 years dedicated to IB)

so you'd be getting a masters in IB , with International business being your specialization.
