as for summers...there were probs.... n as a said b4..Strictly profile based... for eg..me and AMBI himself have rejected 2 offers... now do i elaborate more??

I dont wana say nething bout pepal like constantine.. he is a respected Puy and i dont wana b nasty to any1.. but pls exercise discretion while posting... ur comments are welcome but not when the underlying theme( as u know as well) is sarcastic..

I have gone through the last few pages of this thread and trust me the feeling isnt very pleasant.

Arent the two courses suppose to co-exist, so why so much debate about which is better or best??

@ Neetu...I am starting with you as I believe your post is the one which had send out wrong signal to every one. No, I am not blaming you for the entire episode but yes, your post did sound cross checking the facts of MIB.

@ms.k.abhi.. Getting into 1-1 battle with Neetu didnt help your cause and you made the matters worse by adding the fuel to fire. Instead you should have sorted the matters via PM.

@ Zephyr.. Being a senior you should have diffused the situation or contacted Mods. Please refrain from putting facts or figure which encourage mud slinging.

This is a warning to above mentioned puys, dont forget the guidelines of PG.

I have been going thru this thread now, though i dont even applied for the courses.

As said, I really appreciate the efforts of the usr trying to help the junta coming into the college.

Making a comment like "ask MIB ppl about placements" would really not help. If you really want to help then u shud PM such users are are in a fix of joining between MIB n MHROD. Also as consti said making comparisions is against the rules, so rather the seniors give out their mail id's where the aspirants can come up and get their queries clarified rather getting into mud slinging.

Again ppl joining such colleges are quite mature and gud enuff to ask their peers n seniors before making any choice. Let them make their informed chocies

Finally would request the seniors not to get into a war between the 2 colls

deciding what to choose if u have both cals... wake up its HR on one hand and International business on the other... completely different career line, profiles,( though hr is also offered in MIB) etc...how can they ever be compared in terms of placements and summers

Rather u al shud be askin Is global recession gonna affect IB or questions like thses...dont decide on placements

I HAVE never seen a fight at Mdi, IMT g nd IMI thread on wht to choose amogst finance, pgp,IM nd HR... esp there is no mud slinging amongst seniors

moreover i thought GBO SRCC had a rivalry with MIB of DSE ...never thought u were gonna forget about us ppl:frown:..plz dont do that...MHROD people support them

and last but not least MIB ians, HR people are dam important for any course..these people cum to pick us...how can u take a panga with them..lolzoketoungeb:

For this, it is required that people who are in those positions should come out with a few figures, which are NOT confidential, but definitely can help the aspirant make his/her choice. Example, Number of students NOT placed for summers as of yet, number of students NOT finally placed, profiles NOT coming to the institute, and those coming into it., infrastructure of the place, number of good faculties. My understanding is that B-Schools because of specific reasons, cannot leak out these information in public. but people who are studying in these instis DO KNOW. They can atleast divulge some info that would help people make a choice

The figures you want to be disclosed isnt actually upto you but MIB students. I think these are some stats which none of the colleges disclose and these are extremely confidential and embarrassing.

Try to understand the seriousness of the issue and a B-schooler asking other B-school these reveal stats is an indirect form of comparisons.

But U know na...Loads of times, everyone of us have very rosy pictures of our 'to-be' alma mater in our minds. Most of times, this does NOT translate into reality and we are disappointed. I just wanna urge all of us to stop being caught in this vicious circle. If at all, we can prevent this from happening, by making people more aware, I guess we would have done our job.

soory for postin on that same issue again but mr rmbt i think u are wrong if u say an aspirant is trying to know the real deal b4 getting inot a college then i don think its a comparison...thts wwhy Pagalguy exist isnt it? moreover here its not as if dere are two diff b-schools , its just diff course of a same college

Read my post again because:

1. I have asked consti to not get involved with the issue.

2 Facts and figures are upto college students, if they feel that there is something confidential they are entitled not disclose it on a public forum.You just cant expect them to reveal everything on the public forum. You are most welcome to reach them via PM or mobile.

3. YEs, its not comparison of B-schools but even worse that seniors from same college fighting about which course is better.

SO if you have more queries, PM me as I am very close to shutting this thread if the same topic continues.

PS: consti has already understood my point and I hope, you do as well.
