Hey Guys this are seriously an eye openers... even for me who one time considered IBS as one of the best.
I would like to give some info on accomodation in mumbai if u ppl are coming from outside. Generally Accomodation is the thing which is costly in Mumbai"their is a saying- u will get the job, u will get the food but u cant get the accomodation" this is true as it is costly.
Where the college is located currently, over their in near by area the cost would be anywhere b/w 4000-6000 per month, so u need to share the room and reduce it as much as u can.
If you move on towards south mumbai this figure would increase drastically towards 7k-15k.
If you move towards Suburbs like next stations towards north(which is actually not called as north, but for explanation of urs
) the rate would be low but than u need to travel by train which is much of crowd, hope u have heard about Mumbai locals.
If the campus shifts to Powai than u all would be having 3 choise.
1) Stay in near by area - which is not feasible as this is one of the costliest area in Mumbai.
2) Move towards Central line but again that is hectic and not comfortable along with Cost.
3) Move towards western area which is better but time taken would be tooo much(this tooo much is bcoz u might not be well efficient by travelling)
If you are ready to travel than u can even get a flat in 1k-2k but than it need minimum of 1 hour journey.
