thanks a lot for ur response. i being in pune I guess can directly visit the letter & cancel the admission right? approx how much time does it take to get the cheque from SIBM? I will leave pune soon, hence will have to give them an appropriate address to send the cheque.

Yes, you can also go in person.
It faster that way.

They said....

"We will mail the draft on the address given in the form (student's permanent address) within 15 days"


I don't think they'll mail 99,000 at a new address, tough luck dude.

If I can answer to that (coz I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING BETTER TO DO AS OF NOW )

seeds meant that they wont be sending the 99 grand to the new address most probably. They will only send to the one mentioned earlier by mandar..

For further confirmation, I would request puys who have already received their refund to kindly tell others here..and the duration it took for them to receive their cheques after withdrawing admission...

hi puys..

jus cancelled the admission today from SIBM Pune. Being in Pune, i visited the college in person & did teh formalities (ie submission of a hand written letter requestng for withdrawal of admission & attached copy of the fees challan). If u want to receive the letter at some address other than the one mentioned earlier, then u can jus mention the same in the letter along with the new mailing address. The person said i will get the fees refund cheque in another 10 days.

So i wud no more b a part of SIBM. But i must say i was the one lucky enuf to visit their new campus in feb. agreed that its quite far from the city but the fact is that its a very nice campus. the evening sunset view is absolutely AWESOME..

so those entering SIBM Pune., have a blast.. THanks to all seniors for the process, giving me my first converted call of the season & n assurity in as early as feb that i will be doing my MBA this year

A friend of mine would also like to cancel his admission from SIBM Bangalore. Can neone tell me whether he has to send his letter to Pune or to Bangalore Address (which he does not have so pls provide)

Also whom should the letter be addressed to?

@ kill the cat : The letter of intimation and receipt has to be sent to Pune only.

Going a lil off track here ... And dont know if this is the right thread for this query ... Have the seniors moved to Lavale campus? Is it fully operational now?

The seniors have not moved in yet, but the staff have already done so, or plan to do so very soon. The seniors will arrive from thier summers in beginning june.

Also, this is a request to all puys who have converted thier IIM calls. Firstly, congratulations. And if you are now canvcelling your seat in SIBM, please post the same on this thread to help people in waiting get a clearer picture.
