After the presentation, we were led to different panels(totally 4)
Our GT topic was marketing womens sports to the public.
Average discussion, though it did not become a fish market, there was no clear consensus arrived and moreover we stressed on improving womens sports and not marketing it to the public.
PI: P1 and P2 same as in GT. M - Me
P1: Why MBA?
M: told
P1: kept explaining why I should not be doing an MBA for my goal...

But he was clearly explaining it as a matter of fact and not just to gauge my replies
This went on for around 3 mins
P1: what is it that you want to specialise in?
M: ops
P1: define quality.
M: lack of deviation from a set of standards defined.
P1: who defines it? producer or customer?
M: customer
(then he gave a proper definition : quality is meeting the customers stated and implied needs.)
P1: tell me some quality standards
M: ISO
P1: (cuts short) what is ISO : 9000
M: donno
P1: what is six sigma?
M: told
P2: why is outsourcing being done?
M: told( cost advantage)
P2: effects of outsourcing in US
M: told(employee resentment, job losses)
P2: software exports from india (value)
M: donno
P2: setting of software parks in rural areas. what would be your reaction?
M: told(gave a pretty good answer) ( improve infra, is talent available, employee work-life balance)
P2: exchange rates. and its effects
M: told(dollar goin down, less revenue for indian s/w exporters for same work, increased operating cost(increased salaries) )
P1: (was checking for mark sheets till now) u have scored centum in maths in x and xii, but y the dip in college. were u careless or u have a valid explanation
M: i said maths marks in coll were good.
P1: (corrected by saying the marks in general)
M: told that i lost focus a lil bit.
P1: have u done anything to retain ur sharpness in the recent years? will u be able to sustain the rigours of mba course.
M: i said sharpness was always there...just that i did not devote enuff time for studies in college.
P1: asks for me jmet mark sheet. points out my good and bad scores in logical and quants resply.
M: told that am comfortable with puzzles rather than remmbering maths concepts.

P1: (gave a riddle and a maths ques)
M: answered both of them
P1: what are ur interests?
M: automobiles and pets
P1: have u read 'zen and art of motorcycle maintainence'
M: have only read half of it...but now currently reading toyota way.
P1: when did TPS start
M: did not remmebr...said after second world war.
P1: he corrected (1962)
