Due to Some technical errors, the marks in subject knowledge test in Pharma & capital have been wrongly added/deducted in few records resulting in incorrect ranking/merit. This is being rectified. The revised merit list will be displayed on our web site on 31-03-2008 at 5.00 p.m. All other dates relating to admission counseling payment of fees will remain unchanged. We regret the inconvenience caused to the candidates.

This message is being displayed on the website. Does this mean that the rankings of other groups also would change????????

Hey Puys.....wanted to ask about education loan..anyone has any idea about the rates that are being offered by Oriental Bank of Commerce, State Bank in Mumbai (is it less than the normal rates since the colg may have a tie up wid them)......and wats the scene wid the hostels for girls...is it better to opt for hostels or residential flats??????

Hey guys.. congrats to all puys who have made it..

Me not qualified for Cap Mkts.. Rank 61... Do I still stand a chance.. ??

Provisionally selected for Grp D.. Rank 103.. applied for GB and Bnkg..

What I fail to understand is if I opt for Banking and later once I clear the waitlist for may be GB or lets say an outside chance for Cap Mkts.. will I be able to switch.. ??

Secondly.. the Important Instructions link in the score card says.. Congratulations you have been selected... whereas the admission letter link states you have been provisionally qualified.. !!

Am super confused.. !!

I sincerely hope, wish, need, say (add more verbs here) that this should not negatively impact anyone's merit rank (for other groups) !

For the girls, the choice is quite straightforward.. go for the hostel.. no where else can they find better facilities in every respect. (information collated from NM MBA Core thread).. Btw, the residential flats which are provided by NM (i.e. the official residential flats are not for girls )

Regarding lone, you can usually get it approved from the city you belong to (documentation prerequisite)... Dena/SBI/OBC branches in Mumbai which have the tie up with NM, can facilitate an easy and quick loan processing.. but in terms of intrest rates, the max they can offer is just the marginally lower rates than the normal ones.

I hope my rank is going to increase for group A........this is because my wrtn test score is 83.....I got 30.5 in gd pi + work exp for Group D.....making my total 113.5 and rank in group D 68..........

On the other hand for group A.......my SKT score is 11........making it written+skt = 83+11 = 94.....But I got only 9 marks in pi + wrk exp of group A....making my total 91+9 = 103 and rank around 58 (dnt rmmbr exct rank).....Although i got 2 yrs of work ex in reputed indian MNC and in interview of both group A and group D, I gave the same answers.......In fact, in the interview for group D, the interview panel(diffrnt than grp A) already knew me.....when I was answering one of the common question They said, "oh you are the same guy who said xyz in group A interview yesterday"... I said "yes"....

after seeing the result for group A, i did not understand how come i got just 9 marks in the interview + work exp

Does it take two days to calculate merit ranks of 3000 odd people?

All other dates relating to admission counseling payment of fees will remain unchanged.
Do they want us to approach banks saying "Sir, I had got a seat in NM till yesterday and I am not sure if that will continue to hold true tomorrow, but could you please process my educational loan reuqest with this erroneous admission letter?"

Couple of the people have reported that they have got 35, 30.5 in group D GDPI.
Secondly others have reported that they have only received 1 or 2 or 8 marks in group A GDPI.
It makes me believe that NM mgmt have added the SKT scores of group A & B to group D instead, causing this blunder.
It also means that todays ranks are void now, as there will be lot of movements in the ranks in all the groups.
