Well they din ask me much bout Global business.....coz we had a common exam lst year with the core guys so the ques was more on me...... not the course..... well am not in mum for the next five days so will be able to ask aftr that ......

take ur time and even if u could plz confirm with ur friends who r doing the MBA sectoral course and visit college as the adm staff is not responding properly.....

If there r 2 separate interviews then i need to prepare for global business and banking separately that is why i m in a hurry..

i m too shortlisted for Global Business...could you please tll us more about the placement stats of this stream.
secondly i havent got a confirmation mail of my DD being received by NMIMS for GD/PI. i had sent it good 1 week back and the courier website shows that it has been delivered 5 days back.

Came across 1 interestin info abt the GD PI 4 d core ppl....they had a weightage for selection.

weightage is as follows:
NMAT 150
GD 10
PI 10
Work Ex 10

Freshers like me wud score a big zero for workex n whts d whole point of hvin a GDPI!!!!!!This is screwin yaar!!!!!

HOPIN THINGS WUD B BETTER 4 US.

so hw do i balance between both..? Shld i sy gloal is better or retail or what...

Congrats to all those who are shortlisted for the GD/PI.

i have got calls for banking, services, global business, retail management. (Score- 79/150)

will the seniors please enlighten me on the following:
1) how old are these courses(individually)?
2) wat kind of chances do i have with this score?
3) as far as i know the core course has a split up as: 150-written marks; 10-GD; 10-PI; 10-WrkEx. is there a going to be a similar criteria for sectoral as well?
4) i will have 8 months of wrk-ex by march with 6 months of academic industrial training in the same Co. (will it be counted as 6+8?) is this kind of wrk ex relevent?
5) what is the scope of services mgmt - does it include IT mgmt as well (the website says it is about healthcare, tourism, hospitality, ...!)?

please excuse me if theses queries have already been asked as i have not been following this thread religiously, and in such a case please re-direct me to the appropriate post no.

i dont think they are supposed to send out any kind of acknowledgement for reciept of DDs

:idea: well..i feel we can take a more diplomatic stance by not really taking sides...
ie. just write y u wuld like to get a mgmt degree(a generallized SOP) n not mention nethng abt the specialization.....if the issue comes up during ur PI, then u can always tell them abt ur prference n justify.

another way culd be to put up ur prefernces in SOP itslf (with an appropriate justification), but i personally feel 1 has more chances of getting grilleed in such a case!
