Hi all

Bad start to the year .My rank in JMET - 578.
I have two years of work ex.Can the SJSOM and IITD guys tell me how much chances i have to get a call from IITB and IITD.Seems tough still worth a question.(m nt apllying for other IIT's).

Secondly another query that is perplexing my mind which i n my friend jst discussed is that IITB last year called students upto 349 rank(i hope the data is correct).
Now supposing around 250 students appear for the interview process and to be selected students are 100.Now suppose 100 students r outrightly rejected on GD-PI.out of 150 remaining selected and 50 waitlisted if around 50-60 leave for other ventures (this happens ) then remining students is 90 odd.Am i rite in my analysis or sm flaw is there.Does IITB leaves the unfilled seats.N to top on thaty I supposse IITD calls studemts upto 500 rank .Is it possible to finalize 200 odd students in these 2 insitutes taking all mentioned factors.
Does work ex helps in calls ????

If u have a workex then u may be able to get calls from both.. but as a fresher.. both seem a lil tuff

I have zipped the application forms for IIT B,D,K,KGP,M n IISC and attached it here. Might prove handy. Could not find IIT R form :(

Talking of SOPs for the diff IITs
B: No SOP
D: SOP of arnd 150 words
K: No SOP (single page form)
KGP: Prof & Personal Goal, Professional Achievements, Personal Achievements
M: SOP arnd 500 words
IISC: significant achievements in college and professional life
R: Don't know (No SOPs last yr.. if i remember correctly)

Interview Centers and dates:
B: No preference given for center (so maybe only IIT Mumbai) over first week of March
D: 28-30 March at IIT Delhi
K: At IIT Kanpur but no dates
KGP: March 7-10 at KGP and additionally at Mumbai, Delhi and Banglore (dates to be declared)
M: Chennai, Mumbai n Delhi and no dates
R: No clue (only IIT R last yr)
IISC: only IISC Banglore in March (no specific dates)
