thou art absolutely right .. it takes a lot of time shortlisting ppl on the basis of SOPs and profiles .. but then, there are lots of ppl on this thread, for whom VGSOM might be the sole call ..

again .. VGSOM hasnt come out with a specific date for putting up the shortlist; hence speculations are on the rise .. the time maybe now, an hour later or maybe tomorrow.. we arent sure .. and thats wat is causing chaos..

personally I dont think calls r being delayed because profs r in the process of evaluating applications. hiah probability that seniors would have told us if that was the case. I think it is because of the beaurocratic procedures form which evev an iit cannot escape. I still think that calls would be out by tonight

Maybe yes.. but the thing that bugs me is the lack of any credible information.. Its one thing to take time to evaluate the profiles and give calls.. but its definitely worrisome to find that no one can post specific info on dates and all.. beaurocratic or not, this is something that needs to be addressed.. nothing wrong if they are transparent enough to say that the resukts will come on so and so date.. :huh:

was just wondering that if vgsom is evaluatign the profiles of students, then it had also asked for 2 references in the application form. wht ws tht for? r they planning to call em up to check the crdibilityof the students before giving calls??

Spoke to one of the current student at VGSOM. He said results are getting delayed becoz of some pending formalities from GATE office. According to him results will be out by Thursday or FRIDAY :huh:
