In continuation with our IBSAT 2007 test Helpdek, we current students will be there with u guys right throught, till u convert ur calls (and walk into IBS).
IBS has centralised admission procedure @ Hyderabad.
You already appeared for the first step towards admission i.e IBSAT exam
By early Jan , calls for the 2nd round - i.e Micro presentation and panel interviews would be out.
Results for IBSAT was out by 31st december last year, this time too we expect it before 1st week of Jan
what are my chances to get a call. And in case selected for 2nd round what should be done to ensure a seat ICFAI KOLKATA. Or 115-120 not enough to get a call/or icfai kol?:(
hi abhishek,
Please tell me the weightage given to the IBSAT test in the final selection.I am sorry to say but there was total mismanagement at IBSAT centres.THere was rampant cheating and discussions....IBSAT needs to employ stricter officials...how can competition be fair otherwise?its a big disadv to serious test takers.Friends who had submitted their forms together were sitting together and having discussions..officials were callous! Anyways apart from that plaese tell me whether admission to IBS hyderabad is based solely on the admission results.I heard that a top scorer =is automatically admitted to ibs hyderabad regardless of his performance at later stages is it so?

It was the most horrible experience ever i mean writing the exam.No offense to ICFAi .
For almost more than an hour there was confusion about how to write the roll number or the answer sheet number on the OMR sheet. You wont believe at our centre the candidates wrote the roll number and the answer sheet number for 3 to 4 times erase and write again erase and write again. The exam was not all organised well.Invigilators kept talking they were as confused as we were.Anyway in the end with an attempt of 125 + questions i guess icfai is out of the window now .
cheers
shyam
P S : Atleast getting a bottle of bisleri was a consolation

well well well.... not as bad as i expected but again the exam cud have been organized in a much better way... and now a few revalations as to why i think that it could have been better managed...
1.) Some girl first did the QA section and then went on to do the VA part... some one from ICFAI came and found it out while roaming in the classroom ... but let her continue after just informing the invigilator about it
2.) Some wisecrack finished the VA section within an hour and asked the invigilator if she could start with the QA section ... and the invigilator agreed
3.) first the invigilator's mobile kept vibrating (on the table) every five mins(as if signalling that five mins had passed).... then she put it in her bag and put the ringer on ...
4.) Two females started discussing the paper(while it was still in progress) and... the invigilator let them continue
5.) Lots of confusion regarding the roll number and stuff and the invigilator made it a point to stand at the door and have a shouted discussion with someone outside...
wot more can i say?
well there is one thing more.... inspite of all this i managed around 165 attempts...
the exam was very poorly organised......invigilators gave 10 mins extra in a few rooms.....they didn't know of the sectional time-limit...all the roll no. confusion.....gosh!...the paper was quite easy...so all tht didn't hv tht much effect on me!
