well i think this time the cutoffs would be bit lower, though there is no concept of cutoffs as such @ IBSAT

one more thing - IBSAT is pretty well organised , but yeah anything is never perfect. u can always look for faults - or look for postitives. Infact thts what ur MBA will teach u - situations are never perfect - the art is how to excell perfectly in unfavorable situations

as rightly said by Argho- start thinking ahead. u got more exams coming and u also got results of IBSAT very soon post which ud prepare for interviews.

no1 can predict if XYZ attempts are enough for a call. so lets wait for 2 weeks for the results to come out:neutral:

thr weightages are not disclosed but my bet is IBSAT accounts for 50% of thr total weighted score

i know few toppers who didnt make it to hydbd , and i know pretty avrge performers with good interview/presentation and some work ex - who converted hydbd.

btw let me also tell u its a misconception to aim for Hydbd. hydbd/mumbai/gurgaon/kolkata - are all at same platform .

hi all,

the IBSAT was good. quant was little tough in terms of time available, but managed to attempt around 50 questions. in verbal the attempt is around 100. accuracy is about 75%.
and marks will be around 100. i have 18 months of experience. is this much mark sufficient?

what should i do next to improve myself for presentation?

kindly give me some expert opinion.

i need some guidance.

my previous post was to bring to light some of the irregularities and not find out just the negatives in this exam... so any puys who are in ICFAI pls let the concerned authorities know....

and to move on...
ICFAI is a great insti.... so all ICFAI students pls enlighten us about the various presentation topics and interview Qs... all that u remember.... also if a person with work ex gets an interview call what will be asked in the PI.... acads or work profile related Qs...

my attempts were arroiund 90 in verbal and 38 in quants .. really messed in quants.

with 85 pc accuracy do I stand a chance..

see according to me to ICFAI lay a great stress on presentations
and fr presenation u have to be preety much carefull and well versant about the topic......
in my time i prepared on KPO and BPO in india and i prepared well so that if any cross questioning is there u will be able to answer the qestions becuse in micropresenation the person who asked question and the person who is presenting if he answers it both gets a bonus of 2 points.......

for presenations u shold prepare on trnsparences because u have to show it on projector and practice well before going to the interview.... speak as much as u can in fromt of mirror so that on the D day u should be confident..

as far as work ex is concered the interviewer can ask the following question.
a) what is ur present job profile.....
b) whats ur work in the company...
c) would ask ur knowlege in the field u wrk
d) if u r an enggenier then would as u from acadas
e) and also prepare the areas in the field of politics and general knowledge
f) the ares from which u belong who is the mp and mla and the chief minister and all that stuff....
h) why would i select u

As has been well documented , the test was complete shambles and maybe ruined my chancs for IBSAT as stupid invigilators ruined 15 minutes of my QA section which was tougher to do as it is. It does not reflect IBS in a good way I don't know whom to feel sorry for more , myself or IBSAT

Anywayz , to the paper - I attempted around 130 questions and accuracy suffered due to reasons beyond me but still must have managed 80 % . Will I get a call , what was the range last year.

With 125+ attempts and a very poor accuracy rate i guess i may have to forget about icfai b school this year.

Hi puys,


ONE SIMPLE DOUBT..

IN the ibsat OMR sheet , the Admit card number column had only 5 Circles , but the Admit Card number was 6 digits, so the invigilator asked to draw another circle and shade it.... !!!:(
Evry one did the same,,, ?

Do the Computer will accept a circle which we drew ourself.. ( Even if a circle is shaded 75%, the computer will show error, how come this will work.. and ofcourse we cant drew a perfect circle... ? ? ? ))))))

I don't know the basic idea behind this , kindly pour your ideas regarding this...
