scorpion_girl... a correction.
SNAP is just an exam. It has sections like Quant, VA & GK. You give the exam, you get a score. That ends your relation with SNAP, the test.
Each Symbiosis institute accepts only SNAP scores for shortlisting the few hundred odd students for GD/PI from the thousands of applications they get. How they shortlist is different for each institute.
For Eg., SIMC takes only the SNAP overall score to shortlist. On the other hand, SCMHRD takes the overall profile, and the SNAP score holds a huge chunk of the shortlisting criteria.
In such a case, it is up to each institute to take the scores the way they want to. Whether they consider sectionals is upto the institute, not the exam. SNAP is just a test. How the results are used is up to the institute, SNAP as an exam does not hold any influence on it.
Thus far, I hope you've understood. Until now, no Symbiosis institute took sectional scores in shortlisting candidates. However, this time onwards, SIBM will be taking sectional scores into account for shortlisting for GD/PI.
I hope this fundamental is clear. 'SNAP' does not have sectionals. 'SIBM' will take sectionals based on 'SNAP' scores.
