Which all exams are you taking in year 2007-08

Hi Puys,

I got this idea while I was going through the NMAT thread. Since there are many entrance exams for the admission to various colleges, not all the exams are taken by all the guys. The sole motive of this thread will be bring the puys of similar minds closer. As the aspirant of one particular exam my contact the other person taking the same exam. The advantages of the thread will be

1. It will be the repository of the exams held for MBA entrances.
2. It will give the idea of the popularity of particular exam, like if i decide to take MFC-DU entrance exam then poll of this thread will give me fair idea of who all are taking the exam.
3. It will help us later in conjecturing the cut-offs of the particular exam as if 100% guys will be taking up CAT, then probably 90% of them will be taking up XAT, so the cut-offs predicted by puys later will be fairly actual as most of them are taking XAT. But if some XYZ exam has just 10% junta then the discussions on the cut-offs of the exam later should be taken with the pinch of salt (bottom line: it will give the statistical distribution of the test takers).

cant think of any other but surely the results of the poll will be beneficial for all.........

To start with, I want to add a poll, the options will be

2. Maharashtra CET

4.IIFT
5.IRMA
6.IBSAT

8.MAT
9.MFC-DU
10.NMAT
11.SNAP
12.XAT

Please post if you think i am missing any exam.......
I will add the poll once the options are finalized. More ideas are welcome.

ur missing out on Maharashtra CET in that list....

me a little sceptical but guess this thread's worth a shot...1 more doubt...if u have a poll will all these exams...n i m appearing for more than one of them...how do i select all those options in the poll ...i mean can i select more than one option in a given poll...how do u plan to go abt that

n one more thing....since all these exams have their individual perp/disscussion threads...it'll be gr8 if u could add the links to all these threads in ur first post against the name of the exam....so that ppl know where to look for a detailed info...

ya i have checked multiple options in the poll.....so you can choose more than one options in the poll.......

I have added the poll........Had to delete a few options as the maximum limit was 10 options......lets see how much response does this poll garner. Atleast i expect loads of ticks to the CAT and XAT exams........

Meanwhile I have filled most of them.....

Thanks for the poll. You may have 'others' as the tenth option and specify details of others as another poll. This way, we may have up to 20 options, which may be more than sufficient.

I have alredy added the poll, I dont think so i can change the options now, but i regret not having got this idea, 'others' should have been the options......

You are not just fultoo_bakar, the way I aint plain buck_was :P

In fact, to be honest, even I was toying with the idea of a similar thread, but with wider application and ramifications.. we can add which all instts we are applying to or intend to apply to.. we can add a link of that post of ours to our signature too, just as many of us have a link to respective mock scores.. wud help thousands others to see wot kinda ppl (%ile fetchers) are applyin at which kinda instts.. also, we cud advise each other if someone's blundering filling some forms too early wen the decision can wait, or if someone cud be better off applyin to some instt vis-a-vis another for better prospects/chances (had actually thought of this para as the SOP for tht thread's opening post, lest the mods shud wield there mice to lock it up)

PPS: Having completed the long n painful season of interviews, here's how I wud hv rated my chances of conversion.. (taking into account various factors such as my perception of my test n GD/PI performance, my profile vis-a-vis instt n level of competition, and conversion ratio)
