well, i am in final year electronics engg. and have filled up the form for MBE/ MFC and MIB/MHROD.......the glitch is that i haven't prepared for CAT or any other MBA exams throughout the past year ( as many of my companions had done understandably )......but having given the CAT and having an esttimated score of around 65 ( as per the CL site's answer key ), i wish to believe that given the right guidance and areas to work on, I can manage to grack the written test.
Could you please suggest me any books/ methods to go about preparing for the exam at such a short notice ??
Thanks in advance,

Hi!
If I may respond to this...
As for most of the enterance exams.. it is the last one month which matters.
For the prepration areas... U cant skip the standard sections-quants,LR,VA which U didn't work on for CAT. Work on these from standard texts and coaching prepration material.
For the additional business awareness section-follow any good business magazine or newspaper from now
Also the quants section has questions on statistics and calculus.. It is basic but still has to be revised-use ur engineering textbook. Alternatively, U may use S.P. Gupta for stats.
No. of questions will most likely be high (150+ in 2 hours) .. so work on speed. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to rishabh_mbe For This Useful Post: | | | | | |

Blindside. | Hii...
You don't need any intensive preparation for any DU based entrance exam. As already told by rishabh....just properly go thru the basic reading material of some coaching institute
You can additionlly do RS agg(FOR MBA)......u mite find many questions directly lifted from there in all DU entrance examS. Do revise the basics of statistics from some 11-12th class maths NCERT book.
For GK and business awareness try keeping a track of the questions cuming in SNAP, NMAT et al..as GK questions are generally found repeated accross the above and other DU entrance exams. Also properly go thru the ready reckoner of GK questions given by the coaching insts during dec-jan. Also be aware of the current CRR, SLR, repo rate, rev repo rate, percentage of FDI in key sectors, int rate etc.
All in all the level of entrance exam is fairly easy. All the BASIC basics of Mathematical aptitude,Logical reasoning,Business, economic awareness and English with the right amount of confidence and attitude would do the trick.
All the best
