The way healthcare sector is booming u cn easily compare it with the IT boom we hav seen earlier,or may b evn bigger than tat...the only thing wats lacking is publicity.generally we are not aware the growth of this sector.its really a ‘hot n happening’ sectr rit now.but ‘preferable to other clinical fields’ or not...is a diffrnt questn altogether.
Any specialization in any other clinical field will giv u skill related to tat field. eg MS in clinical research will provide u a better CR field related skill. But this course is a MBA course tat provides u managerial skills with a focus on the total healthcare sector.plz dnt mix tis course up with specialization in som clinical field.its pure sectoral MBA just like MBA-Retail,MBA-Hospitality etc. Any MBA in in clinical field will provide u mainly general managerial skill with som input from tat particular field.it wnt make u expert clinical professional in that field.
If u r tryin to compare this MBA-HHC with other clinical field related MBAs like MBA-Clinical research,MBA-Biotech etc...tat comparison is not possible.every sectoral MBA has its own pros and cons. Tis MBA-HHC course has a coverage on not only hospitals but also other domains of healthcare sector like IT, Insurance, Pharma etc.

So its u who will b able to decid wats preferable for u n wats not. U still hav a lot of time b4 u take any decision. Till then study all the sectors and ur other preferences, wat they r, wat they cn giv u, wher u want to see urself aftr u go through tat course, if the course will be able to provide u tat or not etc. These analysis will help to fix ur priorities.

U might hav som hard time with those subjects in the beginning.but its not gonna b a big hurdle tat u cnt cross.a few days hard work on any particular subject will do.

If u search in the forum,ull find threads related to TISS. Post ur queries ther,ull get more exact answrs.

WELL.. TISS exam ...this year exam was in last month (jan08.) and before that i.e. for 07-09 they took it in june 07.i think next exam will be in jan09 .

last date for sale of prospectus was 15th.so far wat it seems to be lik...tis time the competition is tougher than the last years.atleast som part of it will get cleared on 25th feb.so,keep ur finger crossed till then.
