Re: MIB/MHROD @ Delhi School of Economics,2008-2010 Admission Queries -
03-10-2007, 09:28 PM
I ll start by giving u guys just a brief intro regarding the coll and the admission procedure.
The admission procedure as usual consists of the written exam, GD followed by PI..
The written exam consists of
50 Q-- Quant
50 Q-- CR/LR/DI
50 Q-- VA/RC
50 Q-- GK
Total of 200Q which have to be done in 2hrs..
The pattern last yr was that all the 50 Q in va were vocabulary based. Not to difficult, so dont worry. The 50 Q in CR/LR/Di were all CR questions.. The Inference , assumptions etc etc.. NO DI or LR
Quant again was pretty simple.formula based. but then this is subjective.
GK was alrite. I ll Describe it as doable. as in bout 15-20 Q were manageable at least
The basic empashis i such xams is speed ..so take care of that.
GD was normal.. A group of 10-12 i think. A person was asked to pick up a chit and the topic was thus chosen.
PI again.. Different for different pepal. Was academics based.. so u need to study ur previous acads..For work ex pepal, it was the Q reg work ex only..
Thats about it regardin the admission procedure

What about the Job profiles offered in placements (not the Salaries ) , which type of Companies i.e. Finance oriented , Consulting etc. happen to be the main Recruiters from this collage.

good question dude... lemme put it like dis..60-65% companies that come r finance based and the rest marketing and other stuff..so main recruiters r the finance companies...
as for the profiles,...a range o them r offered... equity research, risk management..even marketin research was offered by a company for summers...so yes u can say v have a heathly mix o profiles offered...hope that was clear....

AS far as MHROD is concerned, we get profiles in recruitment, Training and development, Organizational development, Employee engagement etc....
We even have some HR consultancies coming in this year for both Summers and Finals...
The projects for Summers are very meaty and so are the profiles for finals
