Hi
the exam for batch of 2010 was held on first sunday of Feb this year.

As for the exam is it easy? Yes it is easier than CAT and XAT. Its more like SNAP. But if u think that it is easy to crack well it is definitely not due the huge number of people taking the exam. For the exam we had to face 20,000 other applicants for 40 odd seats in each course and live to tell the tale :P

Do DSE MIB has a 100 percent Placement record? Do it offers lateral placements? Will its placements be effected by a possible recession in west and a global growth slowdown?

We have had 100 percent placements in the past. As for lateral placements no such exclusive thing is done for people with experience. But you can leverage on that in your interaction with the company. As for the placements being affected... its too early to say coz the placement week this year will be held in the first week of January. I will be able to answer this question only then.

Cutoffs are not disclosed. From an informal talk with my classmates.. the written questions that you need to answer to get thru to the next round is 160 plus with decent accuracy out of 200 questions.

Number of seats in MIB and MHROD are 40 each.

As for the preference part... NO RESERVATION/PREFERENCE FOR DU STUDENTS. I myself am a graduate from a NON DU college. RESERVATION is there for SC/ST and other reserved categories. Thats all
