Yes, mock papers based on the FMS Entrance test pattern are useful since they acquaint u to the difficulty level of questions and also the no. of questions asked.

Mock papers of any coaching institute are sufficient in this regard.

Cheers...

Hello everyone..

few days ago.. someone told me that if you are targeting FMS you should have excellent academic record throughout your studies even if you do well in FMS test, GDPI and extempore.. even if you do good in all the specified areas.. You may not get admission.. he told me that marks should be more than 80% in 10th, 12th and in Graduation..

I am preparing for NON-RESIDENTIAL schools only.. because of personal problems.. My academic record is :

10th - 65% - (Maths - 87, Eng - 75)
12th - 55% (Personal probs.. didn't give priority to study at all)
Graduation (BCA) - 80 % (Was quite serious in College abt studies)

Extra Curricular
- President of College for 8 month period (Private College with strength 700 approx.)
- Organized Blood Donation Camp

Managing my agriculture business from last 5 years.

Is my profile fine and make me eligible to join FMS if i do great in test, gdpi etc. ?

Could anyone please clarify my doubt?

Thanks

Hi geek04 - 28-06-2008, 03:53 PM

It is not true that a below par academic record would be a straight case for rejection. You would agree that a GD PI process is precisely intended to target those aspects of your personality which would enable you to be a success in a corporate life and hence a B School. There are enough people with inconsistent academic records.I for myself have only 72% in my 12th and 69% in my grads. Study hard give it your best shot and have confidence in the faculty! If you have the potential you will make it. Ignore rumors and focus on your preparation. B.t.w almost everyone i know at FMS is from a non residential school!!!
Your profile is absolutely fine what matters is how you defend it. Hope this answers your query!!
