SITM considers sectional cutoffs? quant was real disaster. Please let me know

Hello SITM aspirants,
So, how was your SNAP test today ? All set to crack GD/PI now of SITM in February ? Here are some info about my college.

SITM is having two specialization :

i) Marketing & Finance
ii) Systems & Finance

Course structure is slightly different , as you can see here =>

Systems & Finance specialization is having some technical papers but it does not mean that a non technical guy cannot apply or may be not given preference , but yes what I think is for Commerce graduates Mktg. & Finance will be a good option. But , one more thing I must say that we are having best MBA [SYSTEMS] curriculum in INDIA.

So, its upon you to choose and decide whether to go for Mktg. or Sys. as you can apply to any one of them .

And julu21 , its for you :

SNAP does not bother sectional cutoffs so as SITM.

About Placements => ...::: Welcome to Symbiosis Telecom Management :::...
Its last year's data and we will update it soon ...
Profiles are good such as Management Trainee for freshers , some got Assistant Manager as they are having some good Work Ex. So, profiles are versatile.

This year we are expecting to shift to all new campus of LAVALE.

I think anything above 70 score in SNAP 2007 will definitely shortlist you for the selection process.

I wanted 2 ask 3 questions.
Firstly,I wanted 2 know wht will be the expected cut-offs 4 SITM this year...As i'm from reserved category(S.C) will the cut-offs be different from general category..If yes by how much...

Also wanted 2 know bout the fees & if loan facility is available..

Lastly,I hv done my B.E this year in telecommn but dont hv any work-exp,so do i hv a chance of getting in2 SITM??wht is the profile of your batch..are there any freshers?

hi! as far as cut-offs are concerned,it would be difficult to state an exact number,i can give u a comparison of last years' cut-off,for SIBM it was 83.5 and for SITM it was 69 for marketing and 63 for systems.......and this year if u go by the trends shown by various coaching institutes, they believe 76+ would be the cut-offs for SIBM,so,the cut-offs for SITM would come down from last years(69 & 63).

answering ur query about loans,well, the college wont provide loans but u would get it easily from banks,we have many such students in our batch who are doing their MBA's with bank loans.SITM also provides scholarships.

Even if u dont have a work-ex u would have a bright chance of converting the call if u do well in the GD/PI...every batch has a mix of students with or without work-ex,so dont worry about the fact that u dont have a work-ex.prepare well for the GD/PI

SITM is the right place for you if u have an inclination for the telecom sector,which i feel u have as u are doing ur engg. in the same field.

as far as placements are concerned,it is 100% in SITM, the salary packages are excellent and this year there was a big jump in it too! it wont be correct for me to disclose the salary packages offered,here!

the sectional cut-offs have started with snap for the first time,so we cant give u clear picture about the sectional cut-offs for sitm...but if we get any info we'll share it here
