kindly share d info! | Hey hi Shrikant, refer to earlier posts by Napolean for getting some idea abt GD topics.
As far as difference between MBA(IT) and MSc(CA) is concerned.....
Look MBA(IT)'s curriculum has tech as well as management subjects while MSc(CA) focuses solely on tech topics.
So nw u have to decide whether u want to do become a cmplete techie or a tegie with managerial skills.
As far as comparing MS with MSc(CA) is concerned, MS will be far far better, far more reputed then an MSc.
Yeh u can cmpare this MSc(CA) with MSC or MSc(IT).
Anybody plz do point out if i missed out something.
Do take the decicion with ur goals in mind.
Take care

hey i was just checking the b-school rankings at pagalguy, i was kind of surprised to know that sicsr is not ranked in the top 75, when actually i was informed that sicsr and scit are at the same level. how much should a ranking matter while selecting a b-school? seniors please clear my doubts regarding this...

hi all...
i had my gd/pi yest, at 11 ... overall, it was a fun process and it went pretty well, i think i have a good chance of converting the call
ok, so for all those who have the gd/pi today or later, here r a few things you should know:
1. for gd, we were given 2 topics, one was current issue and the other general (population of india: curse or blessing) and we had to select one, usually the dicision is unaimous as one topic is really simple... then u have 2 min thinking time and then u r to discuss for 10 min... the panel is ok kind, but the thing is they conduct the GD their way... be sure to be interrupted if u form a sub-group in the GD or if a few members are opposing... one of the girls in my group was literally asked not to speak as she was simply too agrresive ! the point i am trying to make is, that u will be given a chance to speak and make yourself very clear ... so gd will be easy to average sort. dont worry, have fun. [i sure did ]
2.for pi, i must say i was lucky, i wasnt asked a single tech question even though i an a bcs graduate. but most ppl were asked q on their educational backgrounds and final yr subjects. i was askd q abt our family business, so it was pretty easy for me to talk on.but overall, the panels are fair n they make u comfortable, so even the pi is not an issue, yest i spoke to a few ppl n none of them were messed in their pi, so i guess it will be good if u r clear about yourself and relaxed...
some of the q asked were:
* tell me a little bit abt yourself
* why mba-it / or y nt msc-ca
* which other coll hav u applied for? which will u select if u got a call from both
* wat r your strengths
for bcs/btech ppl
* what is oop
* what is java-why is it used?
*details of the project
etc...
Finally done!!
All the best ppl!

Had my gd yesterday at 4. GD topic:- Reality shows, Talent hunters or Money Minters.
Was a good gd but the group did not come up with any good points so i think my group members and me dint score that well.
PI was kids stuff.. questions asked were,
Tell us something about yourself
Why SICSR?
Why graduation from xxxx college and xxxx city.
From what i no, one of the panelists is a teacher in SICSR for Msc CA.
The whole process took only 1 and a half hour. Somehow i was not inspired by the whole process. | | | | | | | |

Hey guys thanks for sharing ur experiences, its realy eases some tension.
What i wanted to knw was,
how is the infrasture?
how were the students(if u all interacted with any of them)?
what do the current batch of 1st year think about the Institute?
How was everything organised??
What do u all think abt this institute after visiting it once now?
Thanks a lot

Hello all,
I had my GD/PI on 16th.. it was rocking.. we had no choice for GD topic but it was quite simple.. it was is MBA a hyped degree?? everyobe were giving in otheir comments.. i had to struggle a bit as i was the only girl in the batch of 10 but then i managed it.. thou if u dunbt speak the panel asks u to speak for once so nuthing to worry for those who cant shoot up themselves. then at the end everyone was asked to give their respective views and one of us was asked to summarize the whole discussion.
Pi was kool again. they asked me to tell smt abt myself.. then something on my job.. the project tht i made. after mba which position in the organisation do i see myself?? then wat are the reasons why they should select me for their clg??
In short, everything was quite simple. u jus have to be confident in what u speak and chill out..
College crowd was good.. infrastrusture is jus one building with 1 and 2 nd floor for SITM ppl and SICSR. but canteen and all is good...
do tell me ur experiences too.. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to Soha For This Useful Post: | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
