Hey Guys,

Placement Season's round the corner. Placement week starts on Dec 3rd to Dec 8th.

There's excitement, tenion, competition, all mixed....

Last year, Placement were wrapped up by Day 2. Highest Package being Rs. 10 Lacs while the mean gross package around Rs. 6 Lacs.

This time, half way thru the PPT session, average is expected to be much higher...

Summer Internship Recruitment has already begun... With most firms paying a stipend of 15K pm. Highest till now is 20K.

hope the above question answer ur question bout the internship thing ... there are 2 more students waitlisted for internships abroad ...

bout the other internships offered till now ... v've just started the summer placements ... highest stipend offered:

highest 20,000, average 15,000 p.m., median 10,000 p.m., lowest 5,000 p.m.

now bout the reservation part of ur question...

LIBA is a Jesuit institute and works for the upliftment of d underpriviledged and minorities... hence theres a little relaxation in the cut off for the XAT... but there is some qualitative analysis also done of the student b4 he is shortlisted for GD PI ... last yr d GD PI process happened in Delhi and Kolkatta. This time, more cities will be covered ...

I guess people are busy with the CAT exam round the corner on the 18th of Novemeber but for people who have their target as XAT it is important that u finetune ur strategies before giving the XAT exam and u will get ample test practice as well as actual trial by way of appearing for CAT, IIFt and other exams before getting down for XAT...........I hope that the various forums will help them out.Best of luck for the exams!!!!

Hey Guys !!

All d very best for the CAT !!! I suggest u'll can read this book named "Cracking the CAT" by Jagdeep Vaishnav .... this has last 10 yrs CAT papers solved in a very simple and lucid way ... i read this book for jus 2 weeks ...(that was d only prep i did for CAT) n scored 84...

if u r worried only of Quant ... then take "cracking the Quant" or for logic reasoning ... take "cracking the test of Logic Reasoning" .... or for english ..."cracking the test of english comprehension" ... i think a simply wonderful book to prepare for ne MBA entrance test ... n the best thing is u can send ur queries to the author and he helps u readily .... i've even called him n he's helped me take decisions ... i rate this book as a must for all MBA aspirants...

Hey People...

Now that CAT is finally over, it must be a big relief for everyone... However with the other test lined up for the coming 2 months it would be wise to continue preparing with the same momentum n intensity inorder to do well especially in XAT....

We at LIBA r there to help if anyone has got any queries on XAT or the admission process for LIBA...

Yeah LIBA does look for sectional cut off in addition to the overall XAT percentile reuirement...

hey all,
Sorry all for not posting for long...just catching up on some sleep offlate...and busy with term exams...
To start off with placements...
Placements started and ended with a bang....with all the students placed in their dream companies...with dream profiles... spread over a couple of hours....this year has seen a huge leap in the avg pay...Also this years placements was characterised by students sidelining IT(among the favourites at LIBA last year) and opting for domains like FMCG,Consulting, I- Banking , Manufactuing,Treasury, Equity Research and Real Estate ...

Another point to note about this years placements ....was that 50% of the companies were new recruiters.... A clear indicator of the growing trust the corporate world is having in LIBA products....

Anyways guys...An indepth report would be published in Jan 1st week...as we are caught up in our term exams and then break off for holidays...
Kudos to all the first years for running the placement week so well....
