As i said earlier too, its completely a matter of our priorities and a function of the weights which we assign to them to arrive at the answer.

The reason why i do not read much of the cut offs of previous years because it is a result of the perception of people. Yes, there is no doubt that it tells us who are our peers are? But then, i would rather than only looking at the quality of the peers look if the school meets my requirements. Let me give a example,

- May be the cut off of Institute A was much higher than B for the last 3 years, but may be Institute B offers better quality education in my area of specialization as compared to Institute A. (Andy would definitely agree to it, as he went on to join NIBM since it was meeting his requirements better than some of the other prestigious schools

)

This being said, these are my views based on my experience of being a schooler and being on PG for around couple of years. Some or most of us may choose to differ and have their own thought process on the same.

Scorpio - If my memory serves right, we have known each other for long through the IBSAT thread. Am i right?

I have submitted DD along with the online application form to GIM before 3 weeks, till now i didn't get any information from the admissions dept that payment was authenticated. i am confused whether the admissions dept received my form or not

How did you submit the form? By a courier / speed post. Confirm delivery with them or track the shipment using consignment number !

Or if you are too much anxious, call up Ms. Jenifer Fernandes and confirm with her !

I suggest that you better call up Ms. Jenifer Fernandes at 91.832.2444638 and confirm the status.

The official timings are 0900h to 1300h and 1400h to 1800h, Monday to Friday and in the first half only on Saturdays !

Sure, that's an awesome memory Saurabh! I've been on PG since over 2 years now, but few folks seem to remember me as you've done!It appears you folks are having a great time on the beaches of Goa, as by reading the few posts here. Hope to get through GIM, it was a nasty experience in my previous GD/PI at Delhi centre. I got zapped by the abstract topic at GD, & could not utter a word, the same panel took the PI, so they got the same poor opinion about me, & as you may be guessing, I flunked!
