1. How good is the college from Operations Management point of view.
First of it's kind for specialization in Operations management.
Industry oriented and regular updation of syllabus
6 sigma Training /SAP / APICS - bankbones of Ops. Mgt.

2. Wats the placements ( Range )

check the website- Symbiosis Institute of Operation Management is constituent of Symbiosis International University

3. Wats the faculty?

Majority will be From Industry / NITIE / n other Bschools.
Mostly Visiting Faculty.


4.Is it really worth doing MBA from SIOM.

It's Ur call. We (120 (07-09) & 66(06-0 have found it worth the money.
So it's upto to u to take the call.

i would first like thank you and all my PG seniors one by one who are were so much of a support and guide that today i m at SIOM.... THANK YOU ASWATH... you guys were amazing and hope i would also be able to match upto the standards you have set for a forum like this for SIOM...

hi frends...it wz gr8 to see ur replies.........I have also more queries.....How old is d institution ....I mean i ve heard its the newest bee in the hive..is it so?....also are there oder colleges in india for operations and good......wat abt Indian Statistical Institute program of M.tech in OR.....I ve seen d syllabus its 90% same...plz comment

fact:The institute is 2 years old ,under the name SIOM
it previously existed under SCMHRD, NAsik branch

U r rite, our course framework is similar to NITIE n other OR related colleges
BUt adding to it, we also have other subjects like Supply chain, HR, Finance, Marketing which none of those colleges offer. Hence its a B-school catering to a niche field called Operations Management

I ve seen d syllabus its 90% same...plz comment

Hi skylork and all the senior of SIOM. I am new to this thread and I have been constantly in touch with the threads that is being posted here.

Its been my dream and wish to join SIOM. I want to pursue my higher education here as I am very much interested in the subjects covered here.

I am an B.E, in Industrial Engineering & Management, currently working now in MNC for software Testing. I have an year's exp in production field. Due to financial pressure had to move into IT field. But now want to get back to my interest field. Its 2.5 years of work after my Engineering.

I could not resist to drop in to this thread and say to you all....as this thread is helping many young aspirants like me to get into SIOM.

I have started preparing for snap, though late but hope to make it. Feeling tensed as I realised about SIOM lately. Hope to make it.

I wish all the best for the ones preparing for the SNAP.
