Hi to all... This is my first post in this thread...

As far as the college is concerned, it may be a new college but it has all the ingredients to take it to the heights..

The placements scenario is as good as any other B-School ( baring IIMs of course) The heighest offer tht our seniors got was Rs 10.41 LPA and the average was Rs 6 LPA. Companies like IBM Consulting, Eicher Consulting, Wipro Consulting, Tata Motors have recruited from the college.

The students mix is another worthy aspect of the college with 57% of the juniors and 84% of the seniors having prior work-ex. We have students from NITs, BITS and other leading T-Schools and people from reputed organizations like Wipro, Cummins, Accenture, IBM etc.

Rest in next..
PS: Good to see stalwarts like hot_achu, ash_godzi, D and G ..

I have started preparing for snap, though late but hope to make it. Feeling tensed as I realised about SIOM lately. Hope to make it.

I wish all the best for the ones preparing for the SNAP.

Thank you D&G,

I really feel good seeing your reply. I have few questions....
1, Is there opportunity for dual specializations.
2, At present I have 1yr of exp in production and 1.5 yrs of exp in Quaity Assuarnce in S/W. But I would like to come back to manufacturing side as its my interest. For this SIOM has wonderfull course built up..am I right??
3, How good is it to pull myself back to manufacturing after from IT filed???

At SIOM there is no option of dual specialisation and nor will the institute will give u any time for the same. as i said earlier its a super speciality institute we have to incoperate a lot more things like SAP, six sigma, etc into the course to suit the needs of the industry. The question of dual dont arise at all and there is also no requirement for the same.

You can definitely come back to manufaturing and both your experince will count. and count a lot at that. Your interests are there for u to follow. and u have the opportunity here to come back for sure. The course built is wonderfull of course for every sector required for us to tap especially manufacturing.

Its upto you to decide whether u want to pull urself back or whtever u call it.. look frend all fields are open to u over here. u have plenty of time to decide over here. let me say close to 2 years from now.. so u have all the time of the world to decide where u want to go.. for the moment its SNAP all the way..

hope u got my point

Thank you again D&G..

My thoughts are also in line with yours.
More over my 3rd question was the other way around. Just wanted to know..if I could make it up with any manufacturing company with the IT exp. As my IT exp is more than production side exp..and IT exp will be the latest ones.
