Hey guys...while filling up forms for various entrance exams...another "not to forget " on ur B-school hunt radar should be GBO (Global Business Operations )....a postgraduate programme offering specialisation in Inernational Business from Asia's Premier COmmerce coll SRCC (Shri Ram College Of COmmerce )....

Well the institute conducts a separate GBO entrance exam and is held around january...it has 175-200 ques
..................2 hrs in duration...the paper has a section on GK..which can range from Business to history...to..Political SCiences...and the works..!!!:grab:

well guys, i believe GBO- SRCC is gonna a be a big hit in the coming few years, its already having an maximum salary of 9 lakhs and average of around 6.57 lakhs, nd the course structure wich is unique and exhaustive helps d individual to acquire overall inputs wich r required for a person to acquire a holistic approach towards management

well...eligibility requirement 4 the course is a min 50% aggregate at your undergraduate level from a recognised university..the forms are available in the 1st week of december..and the exam is usually held on the 4th sunday of jan ( last time it was 28 jan 2007) ...it is a 2hr test and covers the same topics as in a CAT exam besides also including a section on general awareness...!!
No specific requirement of work ex is there but as always...a work experienced person will score a notch higher than a fresher at the interview stage..(but dnt worry...as freshers also make it...i myself being an example...!)

well the course is a relatively new one...it was formulated in 1999 so..around 7 batches have passed out..! But since the course is a part of SRCC which is more than 81 yrs old ....the course surely commands respect in the industry....last yr's highest package was Rs 9 lakhs per annum ..and average being around 6.57 lakhs..!!
The faculty at the course is a good mix of both SRCC faculty and visiting faculty from other B schools like FMS , IIFT etc...!!

Hello raj,

Well my greetings to u.. m a 1st yr student at GBO..
k to solve ur query.. the fee structure st SRCC is awesome...The per anuum fees is not more than 35,000 Rs.

As far as the SRCC website is concerned.. it s under construction so m very sorry for the info not being available to u on the net..Soon there is goin to be a separate website for GBO SRCC, then it l be good for prospective students to gather info...

I do hav the admission brochure with me but fee structure has undegone a change so u take note of the above figure as the latest that we hav paid..

Ur total cost for the course during two years time will square out to be in the range of 60,000 Rs - 70,000 Rs
Trust me... its a great ROI (return on investment) with avg placements of 6.57 lakhs!!

To introduce myself... I am a grad from SRCC itself, worked for about an year with a leading consultancy firm n m now back to My College.!!

N yes the course is a Post Graduate Diploma In Global business operations...

Please take note of the fact that the IIM's as well as other management institutes also offer a PGDM (post graduate diploma in management) which is generally famous as MBA

A lot of people get confused here... there are some post grad certificate programs... so don get confused here..GBO is not certificate

GBO is the same as PGDM
It is in the lines of MBA at IIFT
