the problem is that i have my iim-a interview on the same day
any idea how & if i can get my interview rescheduled

Yes, XIMB does have a exchange programs with many foreign univs. Last yr (from our senior batch) 4 students had gone to Euromed, (marseille) France for one term.Many students from reputed universities in USA, France etc also come down for a term in XIMB.
