Hi Syed,
Thanks a lot for the reply... And I could not find a thread dedicated to Developmental Studies.
I would like to know more about the entrance test - is it a common one or is it different for each?
Also, it'll be great if you can get some one doing the course speak about it, the curriculum, career prospects etc...
Kindly reply....
Cheers...

I had given TISS exam last year, so based on my experience I can say the following:

1. If you are preparing for other managment entrance exams even sate level exams, then quant, english , reasoning sections are a cakewalk as questions are on the easier side, you can easily finish the whole paper is less than the allocated time.

2. For the section related to HR , one must go through a book on organisational behaviour. Current TISS students plz throw some light on this.

See last year they have given a huge number of calls, so it was very easy to get a call

@Swagata,

As you can see, this thread has seen a lot of activity and How to prepare for a particular exam is quite common to ask, hence the point is , try to go through the first few pages of the thread.... You will most probably find the answer there...

Hi Guys

This is my first posting on this thread, so would like to expand my greetings to all the TISSians or would be Tissiians

After Going through the TISS site i found my senses being attracted to MA in Media, MA in Globalization and Labour , MA in Developmental studies and MA in Social entrepreneurship

All of us are aware of the HR program of TISS, but can anyone throw some much needed and appreciated light on the above mentioned programs.

I am assuming that the above stated programs are not very ancient..and hence would be grateful it a tissian can talk me through the placement( inevitable) and the profile of some companies that have recruited peopel from these programs.

Thanks a lot..and a happy ganpatibaba ko to all pagals :bigear:

PS...ran a search , but could not find any relevant post that would have answered my queries.

overheard after the CAT 2007 paper got over

" Jaan hai to jahan hai..IIM to paglo ka kabristan hai"..

Hi Puys,
Forms for the 2009-2011 batch are out!I saw the ad in the paper today. The cost is Rs 750 per course and the last day for submission is around mid-october.
Shouldn't a seperate thread be created for 2009-2011 batch??

Thanks.
