Today technology has streamlined many administrative HR funtions/processes, which every one hates to do.
So what I intend to say is in today's era HR professionals are spear heading Strategic Business management rather than the conventional Administrative role.
Also I think TISS would not restrict one to only HR.
I know numerous examples where TISSians are dominating other business funtions.(also there are various people who have migrated from other funtions to HR). Infact our senior(pass out of 2007) has shifted to a different funtion thanks to the Business orientated HR education.
The conclusion : HR Professionals are "Business Managers first and then HR managers"

But the tough 1 to crack was the GD-PI: -> around 600-700 people were called for interview for 80 seats (Out of which 40 were exclusively reserved for People with 2 yrs work-ex) !!!!!!
I too had a GD-PI Call, but couldnt convert :(
But Neways aftr working for 3 months with Hewitt [the Biggest HR Consultancy worldwide, BTW ]... I have realised that most HR functions suck... So think if u r really serious abt HR, B4 taking on TISS.
TISS will keep u restricted to HR for life!
