On the contrary I feel that a teaching experience is very much in sync with the HR profession.........I feel that teaching is a form of social service.....and if you have this experience then its an asset you have.
Now the next point is that you have to make it look more like an extension of the services you want to provide to this society after gaining this degree from TISS.
It should never look like you are bored of your current job and all you want is a break from this job and also an entry into corporate.
Think about these points, and then start working on your thoughts. You will have some wonderful piece of the final outcome.
One clear advantage you have right now is that - Your profile is different from the 90% of the junta.....because these 90% will be engineers.......

so just believe in the edge you have.....rest everything will be fine.
And your application will get rejected only when you have applied without even qualifying their minimum percentage criteria. I guess thats 50% throughout.
