Considering the three key parameters:-
a) Industry Recognition
b) Profile of the companies visiting the campus
c) Frequent research work done in course structure by the institute

It is beyond doubt that XLRI's PMIR programme stands out. Besides that, even TISS and IIMs (especially A) are known for their HR courses and concentrations. What I can see is that the number of students showing interest towards HRM has decreased over the years; which shows in the statistics. Say, number of offers for a finance guy and the average salary there has increased at a much higher rate than that for an HR guy.

Some other colleges that I know which have a good HR course structure are MDI and IMI. Then, you also have IMT, SIBM and SCMHRD. You may check some coaching institutes' websites to know the percentiles/scores at which these institutes call for their HR course.

another institute offering super specialization in HRM is Delhi school of economics, Delhi University. it has MHROD programme which offers dual specialization in HRM and Organizational Development.
the placement record is pretty decent and so is the ROI.

Jst a Clarification here.. It is true that SCMHRD HR batch is recognized as one of the most capable lot of HR professionals in the industry but starting from 2005, SCMHRD has stopped giving any kind of specializations in its MBA program. Its a general management program wid a bucket approach where people are free to chose whatever they want to from a bucket of subjects. Hence SCMHRD does not have an Official HR batch as such.

No fights.. Very bad!!! But if fight.. WIN!
