NMAT online test paper - 05-12-2002, 11:53 PM

Hi, has anyone taken NMATonline yet? I'm taking it on Saturday and was wondering if the paper was easy.

Thanks Arcade. I did take the online one and scored 93/150, but was rejected since the cutoff was 105. I took it at a software company in Chennai and from what the guy managing the test there told me, I'd gotten the highest amongst all those who had taken the online test there(in Chennai, as of 07/12/02) and no one had scored the required 105 yet! I'm not sure how the people at the other centers fared. Wonder what NMIMS will do if only a dozen people score beyond 105? :-) How did you fare? Did u make it?

The same thing happened last year. Majority of the people who cleared the cutoffs were from the written version of the paper. Some how I don't know a single soul who has cleared the online version. People scoring 97+ in the written last year, ended up with close to 70/80 in the online versions. This happened with all my friends. No exception.

I'm not usually this pessimistic, but I think NMAT online is a money spinning venture.

Although i havent tried NMAT, but is NM really a good insti to go for? Especially when there seems to be a discrepancy in their so called cut offs?

hahahhahaha.. way to Morpheus. 7 lakhs for an admission last year + fees which'd bring it upto almost 12 lakhs. Damn ! Now that's the way to make money. Start a B-School

Hi Snprabhu

Well I have luckily made thru NM this year.. atleast the first round.. I appeared for the written... But one thg bugged me today after reading all the replies... That is the figure of 93.. I have also heard so many getting the figure of 93.. Quite surprisingly last year i cudnt clear written and then appeared for online.. where i also gotta 93...

Is it that there software knows the counting only upto 93....Yes may b they are the Money machines as i had to shell out 750 more for teh gd and pi whcih is yet to be scheduled...

anyway best of luck and perform ur best, keeping all these speculations at side...
