Hey pepole

Best of luck to all the pepole taking the Xat 2008.. Well would like to tell u about the cut -offs for LIBA, chennai.. Last year the cutoff was 91 percentile... So all u pepole work out ur ass for XAT and hope to see u all at LIBA next year...

XAT requires candidates to have a minimum cut off for every section , although that can differ from institute to institute .

I'm finding the method to apply for XAT pretty confusing , Do I get the form from SBI , are there 2 seperate forms and how to send that form to recive the admit card.

Ok .. here's the procedure to apply for XAT
1) Go to SBI, buy the XAT form
2) With the form number .. go to www.xlri.edu
3) Register for XAT by clicking on the XAT registration link in the left pane of the webpage
4) Fill up the details
5) Take a printout of the XAT PP form
6) Send the PP form to the XAT office
7) Admit cards will be available on the same website. The date would be specified in the application form
8 )Take a printout of the admit card and go take XAT and crack it

For applying to XLRI (Yes, you have to apply for XLRI separately just as you apply separately for MDI/SP Jain/NITIE or any other insti when you take CAT )
1) Go to SBI, buy the XLRI brochure
2) With the form number .. go to www.xlri.edu
3) Register for XLRI by clicking on the XLRI registration link in the left pane of the webpage
4) Fill up the details
5) Take a printout of the XLRI PA form
6) Send the PA form to the XLRI office
7) If you crack XAT, you will get an interview call for XLRI and if you get through the interview process then I will see you in Jamshedpur

Hi dude..
u need to get 2 seperate forms(bulletins)..one for XAT and another for XLRI..
u need to get them from SBI and register on the xlri site www.xlri.edu and fill up the XAT PA form and XAT PP form on the site..
after filling up the form u need to take a printout of both these forms and submit it using the envelope they have provided wen u get the bulletin at the SBI bank office..
thats all is to be done..u can take a printout of the admit card sometime in november..
the bulletin provides these details..

Will some one clarify the following doubt?

The programmes at XLRI as stated in their brochure are :-
1. PM &IR
2. BM
3. FPM
4. GMP (1 yr)

5. Exec PGP (3 yrs, part time) at XLRI
6. Exec pgp (3yrs, part time) at Dubai & Singapore
7. Various satellite based pgmes

From the first four courses above, we can opt for a max of 3 in our XLRI appln.
I wanted to know what is the admission criteria/ process for course at srl 5 above. I remember that a couple of years back this course admission was thro' XAT, and part of the max 3 courses that we could opt for. But now it is not so.

Grateful if somebody can shed light on this.

Regarding the eligibility criteria, i'll update this post later.

Hi all,

Can anyone address my query with respect to the approx. XAT percentile(past trends) cut-offs for the admissions to the following B-Schools:

XLRI
XIMB ( Xavier's institute of management Bhubaneshwar)
Goa Insitute of Mgmt

Also, if anybody can list down few other B-Schools that take XAT scores n their past year's cut- offs.
