get urself a PG tee here http://www.pagalguy.com/forum/our-an...guy-com-t.html (Order your PaGaLGuY.com T-shirts Online - Limited Quantities!)
once ur piece has been delivered, go to the charminar tomorrow morning at 11:00 AM and lookout for a guy with the same T-Sihirt, but a white coloured one.
he wld look at the tower of the charminar and take of his Black RBK cap, thats the code for u.
approach him and say snippety snap, he wld shake hands with u and give u a postal address along with a 16 digit pin. send that to Hinjewadi Pune, and they will courier ur SNAP materials home
if u still want an easier option, click on the below link http://www.pagalguy.com/forum/other-...-fms-snap.html (Question from original XAT, FMS, SNAP papers etc.)
see, wasn't that easy.
also, since ur new to PG, try going thru some threads i've taken the trouble of listing down http://www.pagalguy.com/forum/our-an...-yourself.html (Introduce yourself) http://www.pagalguy.com/forum/our-an...ost-check.html (NEW at PG ... and Confused/Lost ? @Seniors, XAT_crackers,
I would like to know if there would be some extra preparation required for XAT and when should we start this, I know that the preparation to a large extent is carried forward from CAT but would really like to get your perspective on this one.
If I were to state some of the resources available for XAT prep
1. TIME offers two OMETs at the end of the year post CAT
2. IMS has brought out a book containing XAT practice papers
How should one go about preparing for MATH/VA/DI which are often considered to be a lot tougher than CAT.
What is the extra effort that is required to crack XAT?
Regards. | | | | | | | |

Regards. | hey i believe the fact that the questions are a lot tougher makes XAT a lot easier to crack cause you just need to choose the easy questions and crack them
consider last year CAT's quant section, because of the easy paper the cutoffs were pretty high
so just keep your cool and don't rush upon a question.
Start appreciating the paper, u will really enjoy attempting it
best of luck You are what u are,don't try to become someone else | | | | | The Following 4 Users Say Thank You to mayank0308 For This Useful Post: | | | | | |

Also, the XLRI prospectus is out, available on the XLRI website.

Regards. | till recently XAT was considered as an exam that gave more importance to English usage.
the verbal section had lots of word based questions, but from the past 2 years XAT verbal has been more of reasoning and logic. so thats the difference from CAT if u cld say so.
Quants is a little on the tougher side, but again there has been a change in pattern. earlier XAT quants was made up of a batch of questions. if somebody wrote AIMCAT 809 they wld know what i mean. a group of questions wld have a brief write up and then 4-5 questions on the mainline question. but these days its more of an individual question type. but as Mayank pointed out, the key to it is picking the easy questions and answering them first.
The essay offcourse is the big difference. something that has a lot of weightage in the selection process.
basic CAT materials are sufficient for XAT, although what might need a little tweaking is ur test taking strategy, and for that take full use of the TIME OMET

So the official XIMB queries thread is online. Please direct all your queries regarding XIMB and the process to the following thread.
