ohk..and one more thing..the interview started directly as "so u r frm comp. engg...what is moore's law (didnt knw), etching (didnt knw!!), semiconductor (answered), ram, hard disk, memory storage cache (answered)..initially the interviewer ws surprised i didnt knw moore's law, etchin etc..but when i answered a lil questions, he told "atleast ur basics r in place"...then he moved on to teamwork...and i didnt quite give the answers that he was expecting..though we hd a chilled out interview..in the end he told "now take something frm this interview" and he explained me teamwork in his own words...i said "thank u very much" and then just before leaving, God knws wat got into me, i asked the other interviewer "ma'm, dont u want to ask me anything??" to which she smiled and replied "no thank u!!" cuz she hadnt asked me a single question(refer to pg 16 fr reference)....now cud anyone tell me whether i royally screwed it up and probably hw much i cud expect???

i was a part of a few discussions...there a post was there in which a dude approximated the percentile/scores and no. of guyz abv u...i did a bitta homewrk and improvised on it...

I jus checked my score with respect to the score convertor on DTE site..
n chk out how much cud i have scored with this percentile last yr...
added the best/avg/lowest scores for GD /PI...
then saw the last yr cutoffs to find wher i cud land...
trust me it helps...

could u analyse my score too...I mean,in that fancy fashion...if u can pls?

My CET score is 98.58 percentile,which translates into a score of 120...

but i am an OMS candidate so I will be using my Feb MAT score to apply..which is slightly low at 99.75 percentile...I 'm not too sure if this year's score converter is out as yet,but I have a feeling that I wud have a score of around 132...

could u lemme know what my chances are with this score ....? I mean,according to ur analysis...?

hey if ur a fresher they r bound to ask u acad things..
n the fundas they give in between r good..
i mean even i got those re!!so no issues...

and the thing u said abt the ma'm shows ur perceivant nature...tht u know she is present in the room and not u've given her that feeling!!so rock it...

DONE THE ANALISYS..
jus chk ur inbox...converted ur percentile to the score u cud have got last yr...cuz the SCORE CONVERTOR is alwaz with respect to the prev yr's
its the previous yr's score...n wher u cud have got into last yr if u had 99.75 %ile...
ofcourse lotta factors r there...but still maybe helpful...chk it out..

heheh!!! and one more thing.......see, for CAT, though i got a 97.5, i only wanted to tk admission in either iims, sp, mdi, nitie...thats it...these were the only colls i applied to and wanted to get into....and in CET, i m aimin only for jb(too far) and sydenham...so lookin at my choices for CAT, do u think i shud tk sydenham if i get a chance or i shud try next year again???

well dude..u've been doing good in CAT...
well a lot of factors r dependant..
but best thing is ask urself...
for eg..last yr i got 91.xx%ile...in CET..
i knew tht there was lotta scope of improvement...
i got a job and continued for it + CET prep @ nights...
gave my best shot...used to score 135-145 consistently in TIME mocks
in CET messed up things got 112==97 %ile...

But I aint complaining...cuz i know tht this was the best preperation I cud ever do..didnt leave any scope(in preps)
hence
if u think tht u cud prepare urself better nex yr ...then do so..
but yea..I know for the past 10 months or so..i've been madly in love with JBIMS...it was a heartbreak for me after tht score in CET...
but newaz...lifes gotto move on right??

hmmm....well, i just attended the ims classes weekly twice two hours each day....thats it..didnt do anythin at home for extra preparation...CET preparation was even bad...didnt touch anythin after CAT till the penultimate week....did just visual and stuff etc....i knw it requires commitment to do the stuff again..plus i dont knw if i wud get time once i land wid a job...the worst case i dont get into sydenham, i ll work for 2 yrs and try GMAT..so i desperately need to think bout sydenham whether its worth takin admission..plus i m in a fix whether to do MBA after some work ex or as a fresher...
