hi ppl, well i have my gd pi at jankidevi on 22 nd, it seems from the posts here that they do have stress interview and also lots of gk. can anyone guide how to handle this stress thing , and the questions whose answers u dont know..............it seems for some, interviews are based on thier form, but the one who were halaled, were shot the gk question right from the start.............

the thought is already making me nervous................so pls help.

Hi,
I had my GDPI today at MET, bandra (batch 11, 8am slot)
First GD
1) Science is pool of Bane.
2) Swapping the people in states leads to terrorism........ ( a huge topic, don't remember)
I started discussing which topic to choose and prefered 1st one. Even others were agreed as well.
Then started GD, i gave introduction to the topic by defining it. Then many ppl started to talk on. but wasnt fish market as such. i came wid many pts like cloning, defence, internet etc etc. Everyone were speaking on those lines. Then moderator asked for sum other ppl to talk. Finally after a 15 min GD we were asked to conclude, i was in no mood, but nobody took initiative. so again i had to go on. But conclusion from me was very bad, i got confused and gave summery thn conclusion. All in all a fine decent GD.


Then came PI ,
I was 6th one to go. Everyone ahead of me were coming out of room understress. I went inside. Two ppl. P1- Young person. P2- Old person.
P1- Asked me what have u been doing last whole yr. ( i took a break )
ME- preparing for cat and related exams. thought to take up a job, but didn't cause thought i may not be able to focus on both CAT.
P1- so u r in race wid IIMS?
ME - Sorry couldn't grab a call.
P1 - Favourite sub
ME - Accounts.
P1 - Quick Ratio ???
Me- (said, but he unnecessarily started shouting as i m not giving proper ans. he was trying put me under stress. I kept on smiling and kept myself under control.)
P2- Significant event?
Me - (hah my Q.) Tata - corus. Told every facts and figures.

P2 seems interested.
P1- But its not good as it was overpaid.
Me- Sir they are looking for long term approach. blah blah. (nally he got convinced)
P2- U may go. All the best.

* FOR PPL HVING GDPI IN MET, BE COOL AND CALM. STRESS INTERVIEW IS USUAL TO COME DOWN.

All in all PI was decent, but thought i could hv done better.
Lets see wat happens...
Now a long wait till june..........

well i had my gd and pi at met banda .over all it was cool.
the topics for the gd :
science :a boon or bane
swaping people for terrorist is a boon for highjackers .

had aconcensus on d first topic so old childhood points but went well it went a bit hay way but at the end ok .


p.i was bit twisty :
mostly about d form which u had filled before the pi but engineering +mba a bit too long discussion on that . rest was ok

yes i believe u can rely on them..as i wil share my experience wid u , sorry that i cud not read ur previous post..

Last year my centre was JB at 8-8:45
i reached by 9:30 so they had put me in 10-10:45 Batch ,
so that wayz..they manage u very well and its the colleges responsibilty to take the GD/PI and even if DTE does not interefere..its fine..and i guess u have gt all reason to smile
Just carry 10-15 printouts ..lol..
Dont Worry , such professional institute will not do such a mess...ATB

Hi,

I went thru d similar experience y'day, though mine was at somaiya. I wasn't asked a single Question from the form. It was full of some nasty GK Q's (plz. check my prev. post), most of which i cudn't answer. But still i was able to keep my cool. When u don't know something the best way is to confess it. You are not expected to know everything. so just take it easy....u'll have wonderful time.

Topics for GD were:-

I wanted 2nd topic but majority wanted to go for 1nd one.......So first one was selected.....Topic started with majority of them adding their points....i got the feel of the topic and started adding my points....in between panelist asked 2 people 2 speak and they did so...was a decent GD and in the end panelist asked everyone to give their conclusion...

P1:- middle age lady P2:- gentleman in his late 40's
P2- asked me to introduce myself in 25 seconds..
me:- started speakin abt myself and there was some discussion on why i left my job,abt what i learned from the last movie i saw..
P1:-why do u think we need to compete with china to emerge as a global leader
me:- i said all i knew abt it...like manufacturing,energy,infrastructure,population.... discussed it for some time

P1:-why u want to take MMS to become an entrepreneur???
Me:-told them abt advantages of doin Mba....which in turn will help me in becomin entrepreneur.....was streched on this topic but i kept on convincing them....
she then asked the gentleman if he wants to ask anything more and he said no.....
no question was asked on academics,strengths & weakness,significant event....
so was a short interview, arnd 10 to 15 minutes...

cd u plz tell me what r the documents they r demanding at jb.i am a fresher.no work ex,and hw mch is the distance of j.b frm church gate station.any other document than the gd pi roll no slip.marksheet etc and if yes than photocopies will do or i have to bring original documents

yes, i checked ur post and many others also. that is what has worried me. if they ask from ur graduate subject, it may happen that u dnt remember all the things and u cant ans, same with gk. confessing is right, but it also cut ur marks..........well i have some time in hand before my d-day..........so pls suggest some good source to prepare for this ..............thanks and all the best.

for gk use internet for ministers for diff ministries n rest go thru manorama yearbook 2007 ( baap of all gk stuff ...IAS ppl use this)

just go thru manorama yearbook (skim thru what u feel is imp)

u do get marks even if d company is not listed. I got 1 mark even when d company i worked for is not a listed company. The criteria is that u should have completed full 1 year. so just chilllllllll!
