The paper pattern was really jumbled this time around. I mean in my set I had RC then LR thn quant then DI and then VA.
So its very important for you to know that which section are u gonna target..else you will keep on flipping in between pages.

well!Aashish i have been given a information that FMS have quotas for ppl in delhi and they give importance to them in point of selection..is that true?? why there s a lot of hype given over that quota thing??? can u elaborate abot this one????????

Hi there,

Just to clarify there is absolutely no quota in FMS except SC, ST and PH...No pref as such to Delhites too...Just that Delhi ppl r too enthu abt FMS...Nothing more than that...In my batch not more than 22-25% r frm Delhi which will b d case in max B-schools...Dont worry too much...Its a very very fair and nice process...U will enjoy but just study hard!!! Keep posting in case of further queries...

Also this 22-25% can change depending on d calls...as in they dont look at ur domiciles before giving interview calls...Just work hard...Accuracy is very important...

One thing abt FMS is that u cant do very well in only one section and leave d rest (though there is no sectional cut-offs)..The number is ques is so large that u need to do well in almost all sections...

LR was pretty tricky last yr so practice hard...Maths had a few ques frm Complex numbers, Co-ordinate Geom so revise those too...All the best!!!

well ashish though i am the thread starter........ i like to clarify this one again...rather than joining a insti...if u r provided with the material and do a steady amount of hard work with a good focus is it possible to crack FMS??(i am talikn abot self preparation)// how was your strategy in this??/ ppl have been telling me repeatedly that "dude!!FMS is tuffer and just give up"(though i dont care abot them)...wats say yaar????

Ans: If u have the focus u can crack any exam including FMS,CAT XAT etc....FMS really has got a tough competition but its nt that tuf a nut to crack...It has got advantages that not many exams have like no sectionals and the advantage of such a big choice of questions to do....

And i think if all of us gave up studying for FMS...none of us wud be thr.....

The answer is a plain yes and pls see wat gaurav has answered...(the post above mine)...U must give a damn abt such ppl and give d max that u can...Just knw urself as in ur comforts zones and not so comfort zones and then make a strategy..Dont miss/leave any area because u can never predict these exams..

Also no exam is easy/tough by itself...Its only d competition that matters d most...In FMS they shortlist 400 odd ppl in GEN category so thats where u have to b and d score doesnt matter...Keep rocking!!!!

FMS entrance exam shall be conducted on 13th Jan'08 for 2008-10 batch...as stated by the Dean to mbauniverse.com...
