Hi ,

I am new to this site. Have around 4 yrs of exp in IT (with 2 years of International exposure)
Didn't fared very well in CAT. Expecting around 53-55 (+/- 2) this time.

Is there any point in waiting for SP, MDI,IIM I/K calls. A,B,C and L are def. out of reach with this kind of score.

Also has anybody heard about the One Year GMP prog of XL. How good is it. Is anyone aware of this course. Does XL have a campus prog for this course. And on what basis are they going to give admission. By the way anyone interested in GMP , the last date for submission of form is 27th Feb.


Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.

This is Jinesh Parekh from Mumbai. Am also new to this thread.. Well, i am also preparing for XLRI-GMP 2010 Intake. I believe the admissions should open sometime in June. (PS: The last date for applying for 2010 intake is 15th January. And XLRI, as per my knowledge, does not accept CAT Score for GMP)

XLRI GMP is a full time one year residential business management program, which is specifically designed for working executives i.e. You must have at least five years of Managerial Experience.

This program is considered a very reputed one year program (at par with IIMA, IIMB, IIMC and ISB) and is a low cost program too... i.e. 10 lacs

Guys pls dnt freak out at my question...This may be covered in the earlier posts as well ...Do indicate that ..Well, i was wondering when we are faced with a situation like GMP for one year ..How good does dat do wen some one like me is planning for a shift to the HRM from IT ...
I have more than 4 years exp in IT ..and now i want migrate to HRM ...I know the shift might not work easily .One more question wud like to raise here ;i have heard that for the GMP 2010 batch the required experience is 5 years .Does that mean by March 2010 ; one shud hold 5 + exp ?
Also how do we differentiate between this various One year MBA programmes such as SP Jain ,XLRI etc.
