i think this has been answered many times in the previous post.It is just tht now u need to prepare for whatevr u can find time for.Brush up both acads as well as work ex related fundas as much as possible.Even if we say one thing u should try to prepare for whatevr u can find time(may be 50-50 time devoted to each)

XIMB outranks on the basis of the following parameters:
a.Physical Infrastructure – 22 acres of campus in the heart of Bhubaneswar; greenery all around; excellent sporting facilities including a lawn tennis court, football court, basketball court, indoor badminton court, table tennis room, et al.; a 2-story library which is open 24x7; airconditioned amphitheatre classrooms.
b.Academics – rigorous course with a lot of practical exposure.
c.Faculty – almost all the faculty members are PhDs in their respective areas and are into research and consultancy.
d.Hostel facilities – Rooms on single occupancy basis with adequate facilities (washing machine, mess remains open till 2:30 am, coffee vending machine, etc).
e.IT Infrastructure – The complete campus is wi-fi enabled. Literally, you can do your assignments and submit them online sitting with your laptop in the loo.
f.Industry interaction – People from the industry keep visiting the campus to share their experiences and provide suggestions for self-grooming.
g.Smaller batch size of just 120 students makes the environment more conducive and provides a better opportunity for students to interact with the faculty.
h.Placements – Students getting the desired profiles and the packages.
regarding your question on finance - u say its very late to ask...i wud just say that its too early to ask...trust me even i'm not sure what specialisation would i actually end up taking...i say so coz at XIMB there is no hard and fast rule regarding your area of specialisation..your specialisation would depend on the electives you choose in the 2nd year...so you may even go for dual specialisation or general management...
trust me, you would never need to justify why finance from engg unless you explicitly say to the panelists that you want to specialise in finance...

you may say that i have not yet decided coz the institute gives you an opportunity to decide it after one of completion of the course...by that time you would get preliminary knowledge of all areas and so it would be easy for you to decide what you actually want...moreover, by then you can also seek the guidance of profs and seniors...
however, you may add that as of now you have your interests in finance but you would like to cross the bridge only when you reach it!

the call letters were being dispatched thru DTDC so you should receive them in a couple of days...
but if you really want to know the GD/PI dates earlier then please send an email to admisn@ximb.ac.in

There would be no form-filling exercise at the GD/PI centres.
Even a CV is not required coz your details are available with the panelists. But it is always wise to carry one (in your own format).
Traditionally, XIMB has been adhering to GDs only so the trend should continue.
