Re: iifm rocks.......... - 30-11-2007, 12:54 PM

are there sectional cutoffs at IIFM??

my score:
QA:1
VA:40+
DI:56

overall: ~100

are there chances of getting a call? my low qa score can be attributed to my not having maths as a subject after school...

If IIFM does not change its sectional cut off policy.. difficult to get a call with this score.

Re: IIFM (Indian Institute of Forest Management ) Bhopal : Queries Help desk - 08-12-2007, 08:52 PM

Dear seniors from IIFM,
I have filled up IIFM form this time.
My cat 2007 score is 73 in total, 38 in verbal, 30 in di and 5 in quant.
I have 85% in 10th, 75% in 12th and 71% in graduation.
A work ex of 1.5 yrs as a merchandiser.
A very decent record in extracurriculars.
Do I stand any chance of getting a call from IIFM?
Please guide me regarding this issue.
thanks,
Priyanka

Re: IIFM (Indian Institute of Forest Management ) Bhopal : Queries Help desk - 09-01-2008, 04:41 PM

IIfmians Greetings,
Now that the Cat results have been declared, the anxiety of getting a call is hounding us relentlessly. I have applied to IIFM. On the score front I have lost it a bit:

Quant: 68.78
Di&Lr: 84.79
Verbal: 88.55
Total: 87.58

I'm praying fervently that the individual sectional cut-offs do not cross 65 percentile.

My (unimpressive) profile:
Xth: 76
12th: 71.1
B.Com.:60( Pune University)
LL.B.: 52.2 (Delhi University)

I would be be really grateful if my traumatizing doubts and agonizing queries could be satisfactorily answered:

Is the aforementioned score sufficient to merit a call?

Would the law degree be helpful in converting the call if I'm lucky to have one?

Would be a extremely difficult to convert the call at such low score?

Best Regards,
Bikram

Hey bikram!

Well, the percentile of around 88 that u have, is good enough to get a call, more so coz u have cleared the 55 percentile requirement in each section (yes, that's what the minimum reqms for a call are). As far as the final conversion goes, you do have a very good chance unless u mess up ur GD/PI. Jus ensure that u know ur subject well, and can also throw in a few environment-concerns in the interview. The GD topic will be normal, nothing specific to IIFM-related studies. Jus stay calm, and u will surely get thru...

And by the way, mail me at siyer09@iifm.ac.in, if u have ne more doubts. U see, orkut... PG... everything's banned. We do have a few proxy websites, but they can b used only for viewing... not replying.

All the best!

Sid.

I would request all the people who have applied to IIFM to post their scores with sectional spilts so that we can asses as to where do we stand in relation to each other. Further how to prepare for GD/PI.I have already posted my unipressive profile. It would be nice if we could interact a bit.

Regards,
Bikram
