but i know all that as dir himself told me all that, it was for others to that i asked to validate it... so thanks alot nags... u seniors r the best and hope to get thru and to see u their... will be glad to be part of SIOM today.... i think u have already read the post i have taken out on the selection criteria so now u can talk about the the selection procedure with the puys once the time of the process for today gets over, i will be more comfortable with it... i will repost that experience of mine by tomorrow evenin and if u can elaborate on what i had posted then i think i no longer need to post it... thanku nagz for all ur support thru the past 2 months.. will be back for more help soon... u seniors are really a rockin set of dudes...

Mine was in Delhi, reporting time: 6.45pm, 23th Feb. and continued till today morning i.e., 25th Feb. We had 5 Rounds.
Day 1: 23rd Feb
32 Groups approx each of 10 people, so approx. 320 people.
Mine reporting time was 6.45 p.m. but we started at around 7.30 p.m.
1st Stage: Essay Writing (10 min.)
Result: Got through it!!

2nd Stage: Extempore (1min. for Reading and 1 min. for writing)
Result: Got through it!!

3rd Stage: Case Study and GD
Our's was quite peaceful, in between it was becoming Fish Market but few people managed to keep it calm.
Result: 7 out of 10 got through

Day2: 24th Feb
4th Stage: PI
Result: Mine was one of the best in my life. I was really happy after that.
Got through.

Day 3: 25th Feb
5th Satge: DPI
Result: Wating for it! 1st March!!

With such a stringent process I am sure SIOM will be one of the top B Schools in India, the only thing is that it's bit new now.

Around 60 students were called for DPI from Delhi centre.

hi guys,

Dandg has already written well in detail abt the process that went in Delhi. so i would just give my topics and my experience.

for WA: the topic was : A request for further clarification for purchase policy to a material manager.
Some people had a confusion regarding what to be written (a letter or a notification) I wrote a letter for this, whereas few others wrote the notification.

Then the Extempore:
my topic was: Neighbors envy: Indian IT
some other topics in my group were: every cloud has a silver lining, war and peace, India engaging Pakistan etc.

then there was a case study:
there's a production manager, who is very ambitious, is supposed to become the Production VP, after the present VP retires. But the company appoints another VP, which is not disclosed. He gets to know thru somebody about the new VP, b4 it was officially announced. what should he do.
it was a total fish market!!

Then the results came out at 10 in the night.

my PI was scheduled next day at 10am. then the DPI interview at 4 pm. both were not a stress interview. I think the whole stress was in the loooooooong...... waiting time!! so no need of stress interview!!

I was one of the out station candidates who were worried about catching trains or flights!! luckily i was free in time.

Still waiting for somebody to come out with the total no. of people going for DPI!!

are u sure only 60 got thru??? cause then a greater no. were eliminated in the delhi round... isnt it??? nshik 90/270, chennai 37/90 but in delhi only 60/340 got thru to DPI... so now its 187 of us against 100seats right?? almost 1:1... hmmmm... lets see and cross our fingers till 1st march.... BTW the total no. of students called for GD/PI in delhi is 402 and 364 turned up for the same. Out of that 146 selected for PI and 61 for DPI. So the ratio turns out to be 61/364 .

Hello Guys,

The total no of people who have been called for the entire process is 764(For Open Category)

No Turned up(Obtained from previous posts) / No in the excel sheet on the website
Nashik - 270/ 300
Delhi - 400/ 369(Don know how)
Chennai - 90 /95 .

Lets assume there have been some center changes and some absenteeism.

So in total we have 90 + 37 + 60 listed for director's PI.

One most important thing is that the total no of seats is 100 and no one knows what percentage of seats are reserved.

So lets assume that we have 65-70 seats and nearly 190 chasing them.

So it is going to be 70/ 190 ... nealry 2.5 ~ 3 people for one seat ....... (Considering we don no the no of reserved seats:neutral: ).
