hi ravi,

this is divya here... well i got selectd for MBA in GEN MGMT prog.. now since this course has been newly introduced in I2IT...so hw will b d faculty nd wht abt placemts?? till now..only IT cos mst b comin in 4 placemts but wid this course will oder co's come too??

rite nw placemts shd nt b concern..cos its nywz gonna happen aftr 1 nd half yr..wht really bothers me is d faculty... ofcos v dun expect them 2 spoonfeed us.. but a faculty wdich will b of a grt help in understdin things..aftrall its all abt gainin knowlegde!!

secondly, i hope they hav fixed sum criteria regd selectin students for d course nd not jus selctd for d hope of fillin d seats.. i knw tis Q. is really wierd but it agin bothers me a lott.. i hope u understd...

you have to take decision abt ur specialization in 2nd yr. I am sure abt that 7-8 batches have been passed out from the college. I2IT not provided Deemed status yet, approval procedure is still going on.

little bit relief for me after reading ur post... after a long time someone replied what I think really make good sense.. not asking abt placement... generally all applicant ask abt placement...but u got right attitude..

as far as ur ques concern abt company.. its not tht only IT companies coming her for placement... banking cmp,insurance cmp, consulting cmp and many other come to I2IT for placement... and Faculties here are good and helping.. its obvious tht PG student should not expect faculty to spoon feed them... all faculties have good teaching and industry experience.

for selection criteria, its not like anyone who applied to I2IT get admission. General criteria is that institute give preference to IT background and specially for IT related Engg. course like BE in IT,Electronics,CE and if u have work-ex its better for u. Also, entrance test and Interview performance also matter in ur selection.

dude, i already replied to ur mail once. wht u asked is very general ques. like u asked abt specialization and it related to faculty that ques. I answered min. 5-6 times on this thread. plz go to all previous post. All ur doubt abt placement, institute and faculty will be cleared.

If u have any other ques. feel free to ask here. ultimately u have to decide abt taking admission to MBA course and taking loan frm bank, I provided all the details abt institute.

Hi Ravi,

I am an alumni of I2IT. Seen all your posts. You are doing a great job helping students understand for themselves that I2IT is a good place.

But don't go overboard while you praise the institute. It's not a good institute as we all know it. I was the secretary of the Magazine Comm and that's my only respite while I was there. Nothing about the institute was fantastic as you write.

Don't take this personally but please provide them with a realistic picture rather than a sketchy one.

I think the admissions are over. But friends please think twice before you apply. The You can also PM me.

Ravi - Hope you stop glorifying the place. Please PM me if you want to know more about me. Why should you be so bothered about the institute?

BTW, I studied MS-AST and realizing my interests are in Management, I managed to land the Job of a business analyst at Satyam. Don't read too much into this. I got this on my own and I am now planning to forfeit the degree ( it's not even a degree). Maybe I can use it to show that I've worked for an NGO.

I have been honest in this post and there are a lot of people who would express difference of opinion. But that's life and truth is always hard to digest.

A Big NO! If you want to study general management then I2IT isn't the place to be. Don't be in such a hurry. There are a lot of good institutes.

Yes I2IT admission selectively rate is as high as 99%. The marketing and advertising programs are designed to give students the impression that getting into I2IT is like getting into an Ivy league business school. Don't waste your time and money on this.

More importantly you will lose direction. Think twice and decide becuase a wrong decision can cause your career to go for a toss. You have all the time in the world to make a decision.

I am a BE Mech guy having 72% agg 2004 pass out , 1.6 years exp in IT.
wat is the fees and placements / seats .and as there are so many course which couse is good for me..plz tell me is short abt the courese if any one has idea...

hi!!all the iiit aaspirants and seniors....
well finally after so much of confusion and fuss today the notification for the programs of i2it is out.....seniors out there i would like u to well enlighten us why there was so much of confusion with regards to admissions-2008-10.... though nt good for an institute anyways....what about the placements this season of MBA....about the packages as there has been no mention of it on the website...would appreciate all the concerned people...seniors...n others to please help us in knowing the institute better...
