career oppurtunity for Part time / Executive management programmes - 28-11-2006, 09:21 AM

Hi,
I am planning to do part time/executive management programmes from good B-school. Currently I am working in Delhi and looking to persue it from here only. Can anybody throw some light on the value of these courses. Is it really worth doing these courses. How about the job oppurtunity as compared to full time courses. It would great if any one can help me out of it.

Thanks,
Jwell

Hi Jwell,

Part Time MBA is different from Executive MBA. I don't know much about the value-addition with a Part-Time MBA, but executive MBA is good if you will continue for some time in the same organization you are working with. Even in my company many employees were recommended for Exec.MBA, based upon their experience and skill-set; and after that they are promoted to Senior managerial positions.

Regards,
Shailesh

Hi Shailesh,
Thanks for your reply. Can you tell me how long those people were working in your organization. Also I have only 2.5 years of experience so I don't think I'll get the recommendation to persue executive programme.
