hello folk..its the same time of the year again... when all of us are vying ti get into the top b-schools n work our evel best

i m a student here at mib i.e. masters in international business at delhi school of economics. at present we have our ANNUAL CONVENTION - ERUDITION 2006 -ON 27TH N 28TH OF THIS MONTH FOLLOWED BY OUR EXAMZ.

DURING that time or probably soon after that, our admission forms will be out.

Hi Zephyr buddy please tell more abt ur college, as iam interested in doing MIB from DSE, please tell me about the placement, kind of faculty, and the value addition ur getting there.

well i will start with faculty..its really really really good..we have teachers coming frm iift,fms etc. some ofour teachers have been on board of various b-schools. almost all of them hv great books to thir credit n some have been written in collabaration with foreign authors.. one of our prof is very eminent the world over for his presentations n articles

value addition is great
apart from international business specialization, v have started 2 spwciality subject streams this year..finance n marketing n u study them from semester 1 itself. the teachers are great. one of our alumni is teaching us n he is vice president of a big investment firm.

v also have student exchange programme in pipeline which may take off this year

as for placements, scene this yar looks really bright, with goldman sachs visitng the campus for the first time( they recruit only frm ims n fms)..
highest last year ws 7lacs. bank of america came with a 10lacs offer bt by then all students wre placed. last yar averge ws 4 to .5 n this year v hope to raise it by a big margin

placement record is 100%. our batch strength is juzz 40 n minimum packge accepted is 3.5 lacs [til last year. this year again v plan to raise the bar]

how is the admn. to DSE . do they accept cat mat or xat scores ..& does both MIB/MHROD have an intake of 40 . can u please give me the fee details of both these courses .

Thanks Zephyr for letting me to know that there is a HR program (MHROD) in DSE.
Friend though u r an MIB student, pls throw some light on this MHROD course including admission formalitiesand placement scenario, as I m unable to get a proper link giving all these details thro' google search.

thre is a common admission test for both the programmes. delhi university conducts the exam and its held in the month of february ( no other exam score accepted, except GMAT if u r a foreign student). u can fill the form for one of the course or or both of them.

exam pattern is pretty simple, like fms, but slightly easy.

i appeared for the exam n filled up bpth the courses. n got through both the courses. yes both of them have got 40 seats each.

fee for the whle programe comes out to be 25,000 for 2years
plus 25,000 for the student body. total 50,000 for 2years.

mhrod placement scenario is equally good because the companies visitng the campus come for all sort of profiles. and the packages offered are pretty similar to those of mib.

Exam will be probably second Sunday, Feb. 07, so forms will probably be out in the last week of this month.
