can anybody tell me clearly abt cet procedure for conversion plz.....i have got 98.09 in mat feb and in atma 98.9.but in cet form they required us to disclose which score we wuld b giving for conversion.so i mentioned mat.but nw dat i hav slightly more in atma how can i change dat to taking atma score instead? n isnt it the practise to take best of given scores in cet for conversion?
sum1 plz reply as am in dilemna

in CET.. there is a quota called OMS (outside maharashtra state)
for OMS students... there is a facility tht instead of appearin for the written test of CET.. they can give score of ne of the 5 all india tests like CAT,XAT,JMET,MAT...

so u can give MAT score for CET...
the conversion of MAT score to CET is different for every yr...

the whole point is.. ur %ile is considered... if u have a 98%ile in MAT then ur score vil be equal to the score of a person who has 98%ile in written test of CET of tht yr itself...

the score vil change every yr as per the difficulty level of exam and how students perform...
so as sum 1 said above tht 99 %ile is arnd 118-120..is dewfinitely wrong...
it cannot be stated rite now wat can be ur score for ne %ile... after the results of written test of CET every yr.. u can calculate the score by ur percentile...

hope tht clears the doubt...

but in ne case.. if ur lookin for top 4 colleges of CET.i.e JB,sydnm,kjsom,well.... then u goota have arnd 99.9 %ile..
the cut offs r really very high...

guys, i am from mumbai, and i am appearing for Feb MAT 2009, will JBIMS accept my MAT score or it accepts MAT scores only for OMS students? i believe i must get more than 99%tile in MAT to make it to JBIMS...can somebody please help and clarify? ...i am totally confused about JBIMS accepting MAT scores or no?

Dude,
That score won't be consider for this year's admission through CET...
U have to again appear for MAT Feb 2009.

From last year itself DTE has started accepting MAT scores for Maharashtra students as well. I mean Maharashtra students are now eligible for All India seats as well.
But things can be made 100% sure only when DTE comes out with there notification in Jan 2009.
And it is not about JBIMS only it about every maharashtra institute that follows DTE for their admission.
And yes you need more than 99% to be more precise you need 99.98% atleast to be on safer side.
