the no. of seats are not fixed in sectors' courses... these r taken in 2nd yr as electives.
as far as placements are concerned, yes u do find a career in the most of the services sector, eg. NGOs, Infra, energy, telecom, and other public services ...the other major service sectors being IT/ITES, financial services, aviation, retail etc... like we had Kingfisher coming in for aviation sector..
hope i answer u. WIN as if you are used to it... LOSE as if you enjoyed it for a change!

hey puys, there were some queries relating how to write SOP, for that, refer (Queries abt FMS - MBA(MS) 2007)http://www.pagalguy.com/forum/other-exams-xat-fms-jmet/17819-queries-abt-fms-mba-ms.html also, for ppl applying to MBA(MS), there's a separate question regd why u want to pursue a programme focused towards service sector. here are some pointers... be simple n clear...avoid being abstract or too specific, if u are, then be sure 'WHY'...always try to connect your achievements - acads or work-ex with your goal.
be sure about how much service sector contributes to GDP, and why is it important, and how and why u can relate to it. for further doubts, lemme know. NoopS WIN as if you are used to it... Thanks Noop
I was thinking abt the same
I think the Question on Career Goals and that on Services that I m inclined towards are more or less the same, are they?
For example in my case I m applying only for MBA(MS) and I know very well that If I get in to it, I will study public services from SEs and HR from FEs bcoz these attract me a lot and I can give some reasons to support this.
So should I mention about this in both my SOPs.
Pls help Quote:

Thanks in advance... | In why MBA, just mention as to why u r interested in doin an MBA. fo MS course, emphasize y services particularly.....
just show that u r inclined towards services sector as services is the was economy is gng. if u hv work ex highlight that coz most probably ur work ex wud b in services sector (which includes IT/ITES, banking, consultancy, healthcare, aviation, even civil services etc etc). and another advice, mention a word or 2 about FMS being the first to identify this demand supply gap for managers in svc sector and started this pioneering course. who dusnt like ego boosting! | | | | | The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to having_identity_crisis For This Useful Post: | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
