Its good to know this considering the number of seats with the IIT's

it depends... currently as far as i heard, only colleges which are funded by government were going to have quota reservation... anyway, even if they do have quota it shouldn't affect you or me, as the government has already decided on the point that whatever may be the % reserved this year (and the coming years), the general seats won't decrease....

Of course if you are on the other side of the field, then i got only one thing to say to you :

I wish this had happened last year when I did 7 questions in the last 1/2 an hour. And all of them correct.......Then it was a folly, but this year if I am able to replicate it, the story would be different.....

Wtf dude....are you serious ? Did you write JMET last time ?? Sectional cut offs mean i HAVE to attempt quant...i had thought of attempting quant in the last 15 mins.....

could anyone upload the JMET brochure pls...
i have tried almost 4 times to dload the doc.. but it never goes beyond 7 mb, whereas the file size shown is 22mb...
i have a good net conn...

Well Guys this season is full of surprises...after 2 1/2 half hours CAT one never expected JMET to come up with sectional cutoffs .... with the level of questions asked in quants this is going to be a real test of quants.....anybody esp guys who made it good in quants in JMETs suggest any books for quants ??

Just waiting what more surprises are in store

Hey guys

One query from my side. I have done my graduation from BCA IGNOU and wish to appear JMET 2006 and apply to IIT Bombay. I browsed the site : http://www.gate.iitb.ac.in/JMET06/Pgmelig.do and it is mentioned that the eligibility criteria is :

"First class degree (min.60% aggregate/min. CPI of 6.5/10) in either Engineering (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) or Postgraduate degree in Science."

Now in this sentence it is also stated as "Bachelor's degree or equivalent". Does this mean that I can apply for JMET too ?

Gr 8 to see the notification and exciting info about JMET.

Especially the sectional cut -off . I thought of giving quants least pref
but now i think it shd be top most..

Are discrete areas mentioned as syllabi for quants.Why i'm asking this is
higher mathematics include calculus(differential,integral,operational)
and complex nos,vectors etc...

Any gyan on selected topics(Quants) friends..
Wat abt other sections .R they as tough as CAT or bit laxed.

I dont understand why they have uploaded at 22 MB document ! If you zip the doc .. it comes only to 2+ MB.

If anyone wants the doc, they can PM me their mail ids .. I will send it to them by mail.
