Appearing for Joint Management Entrance Test 2007 (JMET 2007) is the first step in the process of seeking admission to the 2-YEAR FULL TIME Post-Graduate Degree Programmes in Management offered by IISc and the IITs for the academic year beginning July/Aug 2007.

Currently IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee are offering such Programmes in Management.

The IISc and participating IITs will use the results of JMET 2007 to short list candidates for the subsequent part of the selection process(es). Applicants should note that they have to apply for and send separate application forms to IISc and different IITs as per their choices. Candidates are advised to refer to the details provided by each of the Institutes in this website. An applicant can apply to as many programmes as desired by him / her subject to fulfillment of eligibility requirements.

JMET 2007 is only a qualifying examination. It is not mandatory that all candidates who are declared as qualified will be called for Group Discussion / Interview etc. Calling the candidates for such later process(es) of selection is the prerogative of the admitting Institute. JMET 2007 qualified candidates may contact the management schools/departments of the concerned institutes for additional information, if any. It may be noted that the GATE/JMET offices will not respond to queries on the admission procedure.

hmmm...

Seems they have opened it for all the streams... unlike previous years... where in only Engineers were allowed... Page 9 of the Brochure mentions about different codes for Qualifying Degree...

Lots of changes...
1. Sectional Cut-offs
2. Open to folks who are non-engineers (like MA and MCA) folks
3. Require an attested copy of 10th Class marksheet

So JMET too throwing its tantrums... !!!

Hi guys,

I think we all are missing one very Important point here in the notification

It clearly says u require 60% marks in the under-graduate exam in the general category. (55% for SC/ST/OBC)

I guess with this rule,a large chunk of ppl will b eliminated bt then they have opened it to all streams so it just even out .

So finally JMET notification is also out...
The filling of Online Application Form will be available from Sep. 4, 2006 onwards

I remember last time around they accepted the money by credit card.
This year they are giving us only two options......think credit card option was much better as it doesnot involve any hassels.....
But neverthless......best of luck for the exams

That comes as a surprise to me as well !

Its usually the trend to ignore the Quant section of JMET as it is loaded with higher mathematics .. I suppose .. that wont be possible this time around!

So you guys need to gear up to read some calculus and vectors this time !

It just says attested .. Not necessary to get it done from the school authority..
