Hi,

Thought of making this thread active with a couple of queries.

I am scoring 30 ovreall in XAT which should fetch an XL call for BM as per all institutes. So I am expecting 97-98%tile overall.

However I would not clear the Quants cutoff as I am scoring only 3 in this section.:icon_frown:

My question is, does XLRI consider the sectional cutoffs in XAT for the GMP course also?

I have close to 5 years exp, above average acads and excellent extra curriculars.

Also how good is the GMP course positioned in the market and how encouraging is its industry acceptance. I have checked the placements statistics in the website and they seem pretty good.

However I am asking these questions keeping in mind that these are times of recession and it is a risk indeed to leave a decent job for MBA. I have heard that the current batch is finding some difficulties in placement.

Someone eligible please advise.

Yes. XLRI considers cutoff for GMP.
I have burnt my fingers last year by going for overall score and neglecting sectionals - for GMP. But they considered it for calls.
Thought I will share this with you.

acc to CL answer key i am getting
7 in DI+QA
8.25 in VA
9 in AR+DM

i understd that 24.25 is quite low but sud i hope for a GMP call have 5+ yr wk-ex

i read in the above post that this year GMP placements are not attractive plz throw some light on it wot was the source for such a news

hey y dont u look up the post in this thread itself scroll back to the pages ard 71 to 75 it wont take much time and u get quite a good source of information.

More over be thorough with the current affairs there is a lot to prepare
1-The ongoing recession
2-The Satyam fiasco
3-Mumbai terror attack and the aftermath
