Hi Guchi,
I Had Talked To The Associate Dean At Xlri. He Says The Process Of Placement Starts By Two Months Of Joining. So To Get Into The Process Ur Resignation Is Must. His Suggestion Is Why Take Leave For Two Months And Create A Confusion If U Are Not Planning To Join The Same Organisation Again.
Regards

I do agree with this part. The confusion will affect you instead of helping you out. So better to go for it alone without the job backup. I too had the same dilemma and had originally intended to go for study leave. But now I intend to resign and give it straight. I did talk to Dr. P. Roy on this matter and it appears that the XL fellows are not going to relax it nor take in other possibilities into consideration. So better resign if you do not intend to go back to the same organisation. | | | | | | | |

I discussed this issue of resignation/study leave with current students as well as Assoc. Dean. Views are same , if you want placement facility , you come after resigning. So, I have already resigned from my present job. One more point, in admission letter they have clearly mentioned that students on study leave ( paid or without pay) will not be considered for placements. So, friends, if you are not going back to your present organization, then resign now.

Friends, I have started a new thread in " International and Indian B school accepting GMAT score' for querries of next year students. Link for the same is as below http://www.pagalguy.com/forum/intern...ear-pgdgm.html (XLRI GMP: One Year PGDGM Program)
I felt the need for new thread, because all the one year programs of India ( IIMA,C,L, and ISB) have presence in this section. Further, the aspirants for such programs look in that section ( I did the same thing last year) for information.
I request GMP'8-9 guys to contribute in that thread.
with warm regards. abcIndia-----A common man of India XLRI GMP '08-09 | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to abcIndia For This Useful Post: | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
